I had a wonderful stay at this new container hotel. The property feels very fresh, with all the equipment and fittings being modern, high-quality, and well maintained. Everything was spotless and clean, which made the stay extra comfortable. The design is sleek yet cozy, and the riverside location adds a very relaxing vibe—you can really unwind while enjoying the scenery. There’s also a comfortable outdoor seating area with a fire pit, which made the evenings extra special. Sitting by the fire with the river beside you was an amazing experience.

The chalet is simple but well-equipped. It has a balcony and a fully-equipped kitchen. The bed was very comfortable, which made for an excellent stay. It's also very close to the downtown supermarket (by car). The staff at the front desk was very nice and friendly.

Nice apartment, right next to the bus station and the local Spar supermarket. Flam is 15 mins by local bus (check the schedule as they are not running all day). Stegastein Viewpoint can be reached by minibuses (you have to book seats online in advance as they are often full). Breakfast and also the dinner were great with nice selection. The room was really clean and spacious, we had fjord view that was an extra bonus. There is free coffee and tea near to the reception and a stylish waiting room too if you need after check-out. Aurland is way less touristy then Flam if you prefer to have a quiet night.

Aurland is a quiet town with a well-stocked grocery and an...

Aurland is a quiet town with a well-stocked grocery and an excellent bakery. It is not a port of call for the huge Sognefjord cruise ships, so it is not overrun by tourists multiple times a day. By car, the town is 20 minutes from Flåm, 35 minutes from Lærdal via the Lærdalstunnelen (the world's longest road tunnel, at almost 25km), and 2.5 hours from Bergen. A refueling station is located just south of town, off the E-16 roundabout. It offers reasonable prices for electric vehicle charging and petrol/diesel fuel. And, it serves the best homemade soup in the area!

Its a place which has lots of amazing things to do, every corner has a picture perfect view. In the beginning you might feel that 2-3 days are enough but I think you at least need 5 days. Good place to stay, we went to flam and Odda. Going and coming back from Odda was little bit hectic because it was raining heavily, the roads are very small, there are some places where there is only one lane, no two vehicles will fit. so be careful at such road. The nature is amazing, flam station has good food stall, I guess all major street foods.

Aurland is a beautiful and peaceful place with breathtaking scenery all around. The fjord views are unforgettable, and the surrounding mountains make it feel truly magical. It’s a perfect destination for relaxing, enjoying nature, and exploring nearby attractions like Flåm. Highly recommended for anyone who loves quiet, picturesque locations.

Wonderful location to celebrate holidays through out the...

Wonderful location to celebrate holidays through out the year . Fjords and hike added extra value to the journey . There is a lot to do and view at the place . There is a small supermarket called coop next to the flam station which is helpful to buy necessary items . There are 2 coffee shops at the bus station at Flam . I would not depend on restaurants at Aurland . Flam is only 15 minutes away by car from Aurland, so , it will be a better idea to have food or buy food stuff from Flam ,especially because restaurants are closed after 5-6 in the evening at Aurland in Winter . They say, restaurants are open for longer time during summer . Only problem is public transport . There is not enough public transport facility between Flam and Aurland ,so we had to rely on local taxi services . Lokaltaxi (the name of the taxi service ) was really helpful.

Great location with a fantastic view on the fjord, away from...

Great location with a fantastic view on the fjord, away from the hustle and bustle of Flam, however, can be slightly tricky to get around, although you just need to book onto the shuttle bus for a small fee in reality, so it's not that big of a deal.

Aurland is a small village situated in a beautiful fjord environment sorrounded by dramatic landscape. Flaam and Stegastein Viewpoint are in the vicinity of Aurland. The best way to see the fjord landscape is from above. Spectacular scenary.

The Skaimsberg Apartments is a set of holiday homes in the town of Aurland, close to major tourist destinations/ locations in that part of Norway. The host was really nice, and the apartment was beautiful, well maintained and had all the amenities required for a short comfortable stay. Note that the SPAR outlet in Aurland (~ 5-6 mins drive) closes by 8pm if you need to pick up groceries.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lunde camping: we stayed in a standard cabin and were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the Wifi connection was excellent.. Also, the toilet and shower facilities were very clean and easily accessible. It was also an easy 20 minute walk to the nearest supermarket in Aurland. Recommended.

The place was very clean and cosy and had everything we wanted and more, such as a bbq, a terrace, washer and dryer ect…. Felt like home. Aurlandsfangen is a gem at the fjords. Walking, kayak, biking, restaurants, …. All is possible here. But the best of the stay was David our host: warm, personal and friendly, trying hard to give us the best vacation possible. A warm thanks to you !

This apartment is just a few hundred meters from the city center of Aurland, and there’s a parking lot right at the entrance—super convenient. It’s a fully self-service accommodation, though the staff assisting with check-in was a bit unsmiling. Overall, the experience was great, as the apartment has a small balcony that faces the fjord directly, and the view is truly unbeatable!
