The location was incredible a slice of paradise. We enjoyed the comfy bed with a view of the beach and slept so well in the cosy sheets. The shower excellent and the Manuka Honey body lotion I loved so much I bought a bottle at the airport. The kitchen was so cute every detail thought out. Studio Otama beach is a private haven!

FANTASTIC Stay ! We come across this accommodation but I would say I love everything in this accommodation with fully amenities including queen size bed, food, tv with streaming program, beautiful bathroom and so on. There is splendid sea view from upstairs balcony. Moreover, you will be taken care by the owners of the house, they are extremely kind and friendly. PS. We love her products amenities especially, shampoo and conditioner. They provided a variety of tea selection. We would love to stay longer nex time Viki and Ink

We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality from Jane and Doug and the beautiful little house! Especially the little touches that made the stay so special – stargazing in thick jackets, the stocked fridge, the delicious grapes, and your personal attention. We visited the nearby beautiful beaches and enjoyed the stunning surroundings and the wonderful weather. Of all the accommodations over the past 5 weeks, our stay with them was by far the best! We will often think back on it.

Beautiful 4km beach with very few people on it out of main...

Beautiful 4km beach with very few people on it out of main holiday season - soft white sand and easy access. Matarangi itself is limited in facilities but there is a cafe, 4 Square, bottle shop (high end choices too, but definitely not cheap) golf club & restaurant. Close/easy access to plenty of other stunning beaches and not far from Coromandel town. Luke's Kitchen at Kuaotunu is a must visit for great pizza and other superb food with a huge boutique (and local) beer selection. Plenty of beaches but really you'd be happy with only Matarangi beach, and the option of the inlet for calm-water activities like SUP/windsurfing/kayaking etc. Probably heaven for anyone into golf, but for us its main attraction is a great beach getaway - likely busy in season but peaceful out of season (doesn't just shut up shop like some other resorts though).
