The property was clean and spacious. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are very clean. Heating was adequate as we arrived at the start of winter. It's easy to retrieve the keys to open the gate and door of the property. Do note that you'll need to climb the stairs entrance is on the second floor.

Host Ron makes the extra mile for his customers. He is very nice and helpful. The facilities are clean and very up-to-date. The walk to ‚downtown‘ is convenient and pleasant. Our room (seaview, G/F) was excellent and very comfortable.

An absolutely wonderful place at a beautiful sandy beach, very comfortable and very well maintained, we loved the place instantly! A short walking distance to restaurants and town center on a lovely promenade ( or a minute by car) it offers everything one can possibly want for a stay. We will visit again for a longer stay in the future! 😍😍

Coming up 60 years since we first visited Whitianga, the...

Coming up 60 years since we first visited Whitianga, the milk factory was still in operation and now it's been turned into an excellent, informative museum. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around mercury bay on the Glass Bottom Boat, very informative and a must-do recommendation. We are definitely 80+ and found the boat was quite accessible for people who may be disabled Good to see cathedral Cove from the sea. Viewing schools of fish, Re and the sea-floor was much appreciated

In late 2024 my wife and I visited friends that live in Whitianga for a weekend. It was a Chamber of Commerce weekend, sunshine, nice temperatures and good amenities. So fat forward to 2025 and instead of spending our Canadian winter in Palm Springs area, we decided to spend it based in Whitianga and enjoy the Coromandel Peninsula. We won’t be disappointed, I know that.

It was not on the main strip but in the waterways housing.

It was not on the main strip but in the waterways housing. Both super markets are easy walking away. Whitianga was alive and the cafes were doing good trade. We used the hot pools at the Lost Springs excellent. We used the BBQ facilities at our accommodation. Had breakfast at the local cafes down by the water front. They were launching the class bottom boats down the ramp. If we had more time that looked like a great activity

Whitianga is a very picturesque place.

Whitianga is a very picturesque place. There’s a beautiful long beach, green countryside and mountains surrounding the area. The town is a decent size with everything you might need. There are many restaurants and cafes to choose from and the real fruit ice cream is superb. The staff member at the information centre is brilliant. A little ferry takes you to another area but beware of the hike to the top of the hill- it gets very challenging! I went on a two hour boat trip which was fabulous.

Whitianga is a lovely town and felt more relaxed than...

Whitianga is a lovely town and felt more relaxed than Whangamata but had all the facilities you would need. The coastline around the area is just ridiculously beautiful. Whitianga was a great base to explore from. I would happily go for another visit.

The girls had a bed each in the seperate room, perfect but tight fit the size of the lounge main area was good, well equiped kitchen. The master bedroom is a tight fit also. It was central, like right on the main street central. Parking right at the door of the unit. sheets and towels fresh and clean. All in all an ok spot to stop a night. The owners comments in the welcome page stating they were well aware of the motels faults, we found entertaining.
