We were lucky enough to find a room available at this place. Due to our own miscalculation, we arrived in Pinhao a day early, and the Dorigem rooms came to our rescue. The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant. Paula even came and picked us up from the station when all the taxis in town were unavailable. When we arrived at the property, we were treated to one of the best views in the Douro valley and a truly warm welcome from the rest of the staff. The room is on an active vineyard and olive tree orchard. The room itself is modern, stylish, and clean . The bed is very comfortable. It is in a fairly isolated location, so the staff prepared tapas for our dinner. They then left at 6 pm, leaving us on our own in this majestic property. Breakfast was tremendous with produce from the farm. We particularly enjoyed the pumpkin jam made by the owner's sister.

The overwhelming and fantastic views from the garden roofterrace on the mountains is spectacular! Even more beautiful compared to the mirador viewpoint. Small swimming pool. This and the top terrace is shared with the guests from the 2 other apartments. A small apartment with kitchen facilities. We cooked there twice. Carlos kept in mail contact when we had any questions. He also arranged a driver/taxi to bring us to Braga, when we checked out. Great beds. Excellent wifi. Airconditioning working well. Although with such thick walls it stayed cool, during the hot days. I liked the strong shower. Bathroom designed with taste. Walking to delicous restaurant bridge 1870 is 35 minutes. We really loved our stay here very much! We came into a zen mood.

We stayed here in one of the studios for one night while on a business trip and it matched our expectations. We're locals and always look to stay in places that show the soul of the Douro and this was one of the very few we were happy with. Great decorations and with a rustic feeling that matches the area. Cozy and comfortable, with air conditioning, unlike most of the ones in the same area. It has all the facilities you need for a long stay. Beautiful bathroom. The views are jaw dropping.

A big plus was the lady that looks after the accommodation...

A big plus was the lady that looks after the accommodation who went out of her way to wash and dry our clothes for us in the 1 night we stayed at the property. After being on the road for 3-4 days we needed washing done, and for only 10 euro's she was a godsend. A beautiful place with an amazing view. Just be careful getting there, the steep, narrow streets up to the accommodation are something to behold :l

This is a very special place.

This is a very special place. Having one night here is not enough. We recommend having your own groceries before arriving. The town is slowly being upgraded in a sympathetic way supported by tourist income, but this is intrusive for locals. Roading and parking is a significant issue for this particular town. Do not follow the Google route up from Pinhau; but the route that Mariana offers. She is incredibly supportive and communicates well.

Casa de Seara made our trip to Pinhão wonderful.

Casa de Seara made our trip to Pinhão wonderful. The beautiful grounds, the cleanliness of the rooms, the wonderful breakfast, THE VIEWS!!! Monica, the reception/concierge, is WONDERFUL! Not only is she helpful upon arrival, but she assisted us before and throughout our stay. Taxis are not available up on the mountain and difficult in Pinhao, so with our itinerary, she scheduled ALL of our pick-ups and drop-offs ( for 2 days), reserved our boat trip (2hour), and was EXTREMELY easy to communicate. From Google, we found the only restaurant (10 min walk or 2 minute drive) near Seara, Coracao D’ Ouro. Monica helped us navigate and called ahead for us. We cannot say enough about Casa de Seara, except the other lovely people we met there agree!

The views and the home are are spectacular!

The views and the home are are spectacular! It's a mini resort. The house has 5 bedrooms each with an en suite full bathroom, plus at least 2 other bathrooms, outdoor pool with a view, indoor hot tub, sauna, steam room, game room and wine cave where you can buy wine. It's a gorgeous well-maintained house. The kind caretaker lives onsite in a unit downstairs. He prepares and serves a lovely Portuguese continental breakfast that's included in the rental. The house is far from other amenities, so bring your own groceries if you want to cook or eat in. The caretaker doesn't speak any English, but we were able to communicate and he smokes sometimes. There is WiFi (use lower case letters for password) and air-conditioning.

We loved our 2 nights stay here, and would have happily stayed longer. Bernardo was a pleasure to deal with; great at communicating, thoughtful, helpful and friendly. The other staff were friendly and efficient. The house is beautiful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The views are spectacular, and the pool is a real bonus on a hot day. There are lots of options for sitting outside, either by the pool or in the garden on the lower terrace, or on the top terrace Dinner was served outside on the terrace, sharing a table with the other guests, which we enjoyed. The food was homely, tasty and good value. A car would have made it easier to explore the surrounding area, but we didn't have one, so instead we went for a couple of walks, swam, ate, drank and relaxed... bliss!

We had the best weekend staying here with friends for my birthday. It was really a surreal experience being able to stay here. The views and house were beautiful, the breakfast was great also. I wish we stayed longer and I cannot wait to go back in the future.

A very friendly and hard-working team. Everything has something of a visit to the nice aunt. So you shouldn't expect a big city hotel, but rather rustic charm. The view is absolutely amazing and the staff and family are really lovely and endeavour to please. We spent a lovely night there with a delicious breakfast. There is another great viewpoint 100 metres from the location.

Amazing view from the room terrace Very, very comfy beds and pillows. Also 2 single beds are 1.2 meter and not 90 sm as they usually put in hotels. Great staff Onsite parking Winery and wine tasting on premises
