The pictures of this beautifully renovated cottage do not do it justice - it’s truly gorgeous with so many special touches from the nicest and most helpful host, Karina. In terms of location, I don’t think we’ve ever stayed somewhere so beautiful and I don’t think a base on Flores could be any more perfect than Fajãzinha for the views and incredible sunsets each night with some of the best spots - waterfalls, swimming and restaurants - mere minutes away in the car. Host Karina was so accommodating giving us lots of recommendations and tips for the island.

Great villa and staff. We rented a villa on the second line, but was upgraded to a room on the first line by the ocean, it was incredibly kind. The villa itself is amazing, incredible terrace with a view of the sunset ocean, comfortable bed, good repair, the kitchen is well equipped, but keep in mind that if you are going to cook, you also need to bring basic products like salt with you. This villa combined with the beauty of the island definitely deserves to come back here again. Thank you <3

This was the most magical place. The staff were exceptional- friendly and helpful. The stone houses restored so beautifully but with the original stone and design honoured. And the scenery and surroundings were stunning and didn't even feel real with waterfalls in one direction and the ocean in the other. We wanted to stay forever and had hoped the winter weather would have been too bad for us to fly out. The food was also great, the reception area so cute with homemade treats, coffee and tea. Every detail was thoughtful and caring. We will be back!

What a beautiful and clean place to stay. We were warmly welcomed by the family and truly felt right at home. They are incredibly hospitable and happy to help if needed. We had a wonderful time and felt completely relaxed. Lovely apartment in a beautiful setting, overlooking the Atlantic and the romantic village of Lomba. Clean and well equipped. Exceptional terasse which allows you to stay outside all day long, even if it‘s raining. Rural surroundings, we loved the sheeps nearby. Next good restaurant and shop are 5 minutes by car, Santa Cruz on a very scenic route is 20 minutes away.

I liked that it was near the famous sites and in a quiet...

I liked that it was near the famous sites and in a quiet area. It is an old house so I found it very cold and it also had a musky smell. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of blankets to stay warm. The shower was plenty hot and there were long soft towels to dry off. I had problems with the lock box not working easily. I was disappointed that there were no stores or a bakery as it’s a very small village. Buy what you need in Santa Cruz. The island is gorgeous and this side has so many waterfalls to enjoy.
