Above all the friendliness and determination of the staff to ensure that we were happy and satisfied. But the breakfast also deserves a special mention, it was out of this world! The location is also excellent, in itself with the spectacular cliff top setting, but also a very good base to explore the north east of Madeira.

Comfortable location, very clean and well-maintained. The hotel has a restaurant, swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna (available for an extra charge). Breakfast was tasty, though we would have appreciated a bit more variety. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The sangria was wonderful!

Amazing place! A true Madeirian treasure of the north! We loved our stay there. The owners and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is exquisite! Most of the things they grow in their own garden. After all day of walking around the island, at the end of the day you feel like coming home.

We had such a nice stay at Super Sunset. The facilities were very clean, with all amenities needed and in good condition. We watched such a beautiful sunset from the jacuzzi. What an amazing experience. Thank you!

Stayed in November for hiking as it is cooler, yet still in the twenties. The house is much bigger than it looks and two of us stayed for a very enjoyable week. The house is in an incredibly beautiful valley with gorgeous views. It has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The host and mother live near by and are very friendly. They invited us to make cous cous with them which was a real eye opener. We had a rental car which was very cheap and makes it easy to tour the island. We hiked PR17 which is not for the faint hearted but has waterfalls and tunnels, PR8 by the coast which has fabulous views, PR6 which also has beautiful waterfalls and Fanal Forest also known as the cloud forest, very magical. In addition we visited Funchal for the gardens and some shopping, swam in the natural sea pools and visited the valley of the nuns.
