Welfare Agroturismo was part of the São Tomé round trip I have made with my girlfriend. The hotel is small (5 rooms only) and quite remote, but surrounded by beautiful nature. It has a very beautiful garden full of flowers, vanilla, fruits… and there are several options for tours to explore the center of the island (visit of Monte Cafe and Jardim Botanico de Bom Sucesso; hike to Lagoa Amelia; or you just start a hike along the old paths directly from the agroturismo). The hosts are so lovely and great cooks. Especially the dinners were really great and diverse. I would definitely come back again!

The hotel's owner is really nice and helpful with everything - just ask! Perfect location downtown in walking distance to supermarkets, café, restaurants, a car rental and tour agency. I was even able to check out very late at no cost as my flight had originally been delayed to nighttime.

Amazing location that's still almost a vurgin beach. Wide, shallow, sandy, pleanty of palm trees and beautiful banyans nearby. Jungle just next to it. A river and a hummock terrace with perfect views of Cão Grande rock. Also a perfect place to meet adventurous, nice people. Thomas is a perfect host, focused on the guests comfort and njst a great guy. I can't recommend it enough. Hopefully will be back there in the future.

This place is amazing, the location is flawless, with nature everywhere and the permanent sound of the cascade which makes it very special. We stayed in one of the bungalows which had two nice bedrooms and a big bathroom; it also had a big terrace with a hammock and some sofas to chill. The place also has a pool which is very convenient to refresh and relax in order to beat the heat. The staff was very nice and they can make you dinner if requested in advance, very tasty dishes. We totally recommend this place, we will be back!

Roça Saudade Guest House is a recently renovated guest house in Trindade, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar.

Roça Saudade is in the Almada Negreiros Museum also... So it's the perfect place to stay in the center of the island. Joaquim (from roça) and Emanuel (from the restaurant) are amazing hosts. Would love to return.
