Exceptional Stay at Weingart Suites Hotel! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing experience at Weingart Suites Hotel. The service was truly outstanding — the staff were extremely helpful, welcoming, and always ready to assist. The location is perfect; everything is close by, and we were able to walk to many of Istanbul’s famous attractions with ease. The room was exactly as shown in the photos, beautifully equipped, comfortable, and spotless. The entire hotel is very clean, and the attention to detail really made our stay special.

Brand new hotel, so everything was clean and in immaculate condition. Very friendly and polite personel that catered for all our needs (thank you Mustafa). All of them speak English, something that is not so common in Istanbul. The whole hotel smells perfectly, they occasionally spray a discreet perfume everywhere, the swimming pool and its jacuzzi are great after a walking day in the city, very clean and relaxing. The spa area is also perfectly clean. In the hotel there is a nice confectionery MADO, open till late. The hotel is next to Metro 2 Istanbul and in close distance to Tram 1 that takes you to the centre of the town. The area although central is not congested but is at at the same time very safe at night. All in all we are totally satisfied and we would totally recommend this hotel.

- It's a brand new hotel, so everything is shiny-new and clean. Safety box in the room has space for a laptop. - Hotel staff is amazing, very friendly and willing to help. Special thanks to Paria for her invaluable piece of advice regarding sightseeing. It saved me time and money :) Mehmet was also very helpful and friendly. - Amazing location. Really short walk for main sightseeing places such as Hage Sofia, Hippodrom, Cisterna Basilica. and just 1 min from tram station which brings you quickly to other landmarks. - Breakfast is nice. I would say "awesome", but for me it was good.

The stay at The Union Plat Inn Hotel was simply amazing. The hotel is located just off Istiklal Street in a quiet location. Such a location isn't the easiest to find and for us it was perfect as things were quiet at night. The stay was short, well, just under a week. But, it was simply amazing. We had organized a pickup at Sabiha Airport which was handled by the Seven Stars Limousine Service, which was nothing short of amazing. Upon arrival I was contacted by their representative various times while picking up/waiting for our bags. It was a bit overwhelming to be called multiple times asking where we were, but upon finding out that the frequent calls were based on the fact that the hotel contacted several times asking where we were was truly heartwarming. We got to the agreed upon place where we told to meet. This place was (super conveniently) sent to us via a WhatsApp video which showed us the exact location and where to meet. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Yelçin who went above and beyond to make the stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. So, hats off to him and Muneeb (I hope I got that right). Yelçin was nice enough to arrange a room with a balcony which was absolutely cinvenient given the fact that I am smoker. The rooms were absolutely impeccably clean and the air condition was really a welcoming thing as the weather was very warm during our stay. The bathroom was really clean as well and came with everything one could ask for, including a shaving kit as well as soap and clean towels. It oh, also water (refilled daily) and a kettlenwith coffee, teanband sugar was supplied as well as a mini fridge. I had to get a suit ironed for the next morning but hadn't been to the exchange yet, and went to the convenient dry clean/ironing service right next door, where Yelçin briefly accompanied me to make sure nothing was lost in translation.

The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. In 5 days we saw all the main sites as well as taking a day trip out to the islands. There is plenty to see and some great history. We found the local people friendly and many spoke good English. We felt quite safe. We took a walking tour on day one so we could plan the rest of our visit. The guide was really helpful on what to see and where to eat as well as giving us a brief history. Food was simple but well prepared and very cheap. Travelling was also very cheap - trams, boats and the metro. The prize for us was the Bosphorus. You can just sit and watch it all day with the constant procession of shipping up and down

Visits to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace,...

Visits to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern were so interesting. The Topkapi Palace in particular was very educational. The Grand Bazaar is not to be missed, but not a very comfortable shopping experience! A trip to the area of Balat is recommended, a bit quieter with good shops and restaurants.

Istanbul is a big city and has a lot to offer.

Istanbul is a big city and has a lot to offer. Food is nice as well if you know where to eat. Transport links and metro are good. However, traffic is terrible, and one thing which really surprised me was the fact that 80-90 % of the people, even at a young age and even at very touristic places, don't speak English at all, and I find this very strange. Language is a big problem, especially if you need to ask something, even in big shopping centres, where they don't speak English. Also, it was much more expensive compared to two years ago, when we visited Istanbul.

Some taxi drivers in Istanbul are unfortunately very dishonest and take advantage of tourists. My guests spoke Turkish perfectly and could communicate without any problem, but because they were tourists, this driver tried to cheat them. He drove them around for over an hour instead of taking the direct route and overcharged them. I have heard from many people that this is a common problem, especially in busy areas like Taksim. However, the next day, some honest locals helped them use the metro safely and without extra cost. Istanbul needs to ensure tourists can trust taxi drivers, because traveling in a new city should not be stressful or unsafe.

The city is no longer what it used to be.

The city is no longer what it used to be. The taxi drivers are all scammers and make tourists very uncomfortable, even when you book one through Uber, and all major attractions are overpriced. I was disappointed by how dirty and crowded everything was. The mass influx of cheap tourism, the currency crisis, and the influx of refugees made the city feel too overwhelming and chaotic for someone who used to visit Istanbul at its height of beauty. The food, however, never disappoints.

Staff is so helpful, polite, professional, nice and charming, being available 24/7. Hygiene is something we have been fascinated, as it is impecable. Not expensive place right next to Taksim Square. The location is perfect. Don't expect a luxury place, it is adequate to the price. I was many times in Budak and always have a good experience with the staff. Thank you for check in in the middle of the night. Actually it is not a hotel so I always feel like in a private little flat in the center of Istanbul. I never had any problems in Budak.

Fantastic hotel and great staff with amazing customer service. The location is by far one of the best in the Taksim side of Istanbul. Taksim square is a mere 5 minutes walk as is the Taksim metro. And Istiklal street is also 5-7 mins by walk. Close to all city transport links too. Good variety breakfast and a super clean hotel. Thank you to the staff for a great stay.
