We had a massive fabulous room with two double beds. Bathroom small but functional and clean. Location is perfect when in transit. Supermarket and liquor shop just around the corner and lovely restaurant with best meal we had in Zanzibar just across local football field. Late night airport transfer was smooth and on time (10 USD). Although people at the property spoke very little English, they were friendly and welcoming and presumably the owner communicated with be all the time on Booking apps. Cannot comment on breakfast as we left ant 2 A.M. In all excellent short term stay.

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

Shoki Shoki house was booked last minute for 3 night and it did not disappoint. The general manager, David, was very helpful and honest when we sat down to ask him about the island and Serengeti safari. The property did not disappoint and the location was ideal, a close walk to the beach, the market and restaurants. It is clean, the staff is pleasant, the breakfast is delish, and the overall experience was extremely positive. Asante Sana to everyone at the HOUSE.

The building outside and inside is just magnificient with it's flair from 1001 arabian nights. The interior is decorated with a lot of attention to detail and just wandering the hallways you can discover many arabic-style antiquities. The staff is also very friendly and helpful, the pool is very clean, the breakfast extensive and the location unbeatable especially when you arrive by ferry as it is only a 2min walk from the port.
