I don't have enough words to describe how kind the host and staff were. They were always helpful and there when we needed them. One day when we were going on an early morning excursion, they came out to meet us and prepared us a takeaway breakfast, even though it was 6:30am. It was a lovely gesture and a big thank them! The hotel has a beautiful garden and each room has its own terrace in front of the door. Room and bathroom are big and have enough space. Hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the most beautiful beach of Kendwa. Our room was cleaned every day and the towels were changed. Also, the hotel has its own night watchman, so you can feel safe and sleep peacefully. I have only one advice for them. It wolud be nice if they included another option in the breakfast offer besides eggs, because its too much to eat eggs 10 days in a row. Overall, we are very satisfied with the accommodation and would recommend it to everyone as it will feel like home.

The proximity to the beach, the cocktails at the bar were really good, the food at the restaurant was great. The staff is friendly and ready to help. The room was sprayed against mosquitoes every night. The water in front of the hotel is perfect and always in, and you can swim at any time of the day.

Amazing place, great hospitality! Clean and nice room with everything you need (bath facilities, conditioning, fridge). I stayed in Nungwi and Kendwa, and this is the best hotel and beach in that area for sure. Clean. Spacious. Best view on Kendwa beach and sunset. Nice breakfast. They have a fridge and kettle with tea in the room. A generator if there is no electricity. Owner Alex is often there, and he is very friendly and helpful. He can navigate you around and suggest the best option for every need. Really, this is the best place in that area for this money (especially if you are seeking an awesome view of the sea and sunset). Totally recommend.

Kendwa beach was definitely the best beach compared to...

Kendwa beach was definitely the best beach compared to Nungwi, especially the south part. Even in low tide it was easy to take a swim. Also the beach here is wider and feel less crowded. As on the complete stretch there were many people trying to sell you stuff but on the south part not so many ”permanent” sales people other than the ones having sheds. The Maasai roaming around are friendly but just say no with a smile and most will not be persistent in their effort to sell you something..

If you are looking for white sand beach with the best ocean...

If you are looking for white sand beach with the best ocean waters and minimal tides, Kendwa is the best place in Zanzibar. The beach is the most spacious and greatest on the island and the village provides all the necessities you would need. With many tours and water activities offered on the beach you would hardly need to move anywhere else. It is also a walkable distance to Nungwi during low tide if anyone is interested in a more bustily environment.

The sea and beach with super soft and white sand are...

The sea and beach with super soft and white sand are absolutely fabulous and relatively clean. I got bitten by sand fleas on my legs because I spend a lot of time in the sea and walked barefoot. There is a lot of informal trade on the beach by locals trying to sell something. Maybe even more so if you are a woman walking alone.

The location is great, just a minute from the ocean, there are a lot restaurants both expensive and very local ones, no issues with electricity, hot shower and air-con and the safe box. Card and cash payment is acceptable. Very safe to stay and walk around even at night, the owner is very kind and trustworthy. Very basic breakfast but it OK, no TV and fridge in the room, internet is breaking so often especially in the room, but it works perfectly at the balcony. It is very budget friendly and highly recommend it.

Long walks on the beach, swimming even during low tide.

Long walks on the beach, swimming even during low tide. Some attractions are quite far and transport is expensive. Safari Blue Tour, Swimming with dolphins and turtles, Stonetown and the Serenity Spa were awesome. The trip advisor at the hotel assisted with bookings.

Great location on the beach, very nice and friendly staff, large rooms, beautiful grounds with many coconut palms Unfortunately, there is a lot of small plastic waste and cigarette butts on the beach near the beach chairs. Noise, pollution and danger from reckless jet ski drivers. DANGEROUS & Pollution

10 points fully represent our staying at natural Kendwa Villa! The food was delicious, The cleaning team was amazing and left lovely messages and decorations with flowers, spaces very well cleaned and free from mosquitos. Cool terrace with a view on the swimming pool. The Wi-Fi was good and all the staff very friendly. Very appreciated the collaboration with the Kendwa rocks hotel: access to the beach in 2 min walking, free Wi-Fi, sunbed and swimming pool. At the same time we enjoyed the relax and the peace of Natural Kendwa!

Location is good, not on the main beach but only a short walk to it. The beach directly in front of the hotel is main where locals park their boats. We stayed in 3 hotels between Kendwa and Nungwi beach. This was the best value for money hotel. It’s not expensive and the hotel reflected that but we’re not mad about this at all.
