You cannot get a better experience than this. Period. Probably the best stay of my life. The host is super nice, he literally always had a cup of tea ready for us as soon as we stepped into the hotel. The views are stunning, there is a road that leads up to this and is very scenic. You can easily rent bicycles/motorbikes to tour the village. There is a free foot massage as well. The host gave us gifts as well at the time of departure. Everything was perfect.

Best stay during our 2 1/2 week vacation in Vietnam. The family is very friendly and helpful, they provided information on what to visit, bicycles, scooters, laundry service and served us breakfast (really tasty BTW) earlier than normal when we had to leave for Ha Long Bay. They also helped with booking transportation from Hanoi and to Ha Long Bay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is great because it’s off the beaten path but within walking distance from the center.

We arrive in a small, isolated spot, but close to the city and points of interest. The staff are really very attentive and give advice to help you plan your trip. You can book an excursion, scooters with a really good price . At any time, the staff will respond to your requests with commendable professionalism and kindness. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped . And the breakfast was hearty and delicious Thank you for your warm and kind welcome. We'll be happy to come back when the pickleball court is built.

The beds are super comfy! The room is very clean no bugs either which was a win! The staff are very helpful. We got to use the cycling bikes for free whenever we wanted and we could also hire a motorbike and the price was a decent price. The area is nice and quiet not near loud music it’s a very nice area and there is a gym not far away either. I recommend if you want to stay somewhere comfy and not it a loud area. Food places are not far away and the shops are pretty close as well. Also Netflix in the room which is a win

We stayed in Tam Coc which is the centre of all of the activity. Touristy, but worth it, beautiful place, lots to see and do. Don't miss the Tam Coc boat tour but leave first thing in the morning to be on the river by yourself and to watch the Lotus flower open. Stunning boat trip. The viewpoint is great but avoid going up to the dragon as it can be dangerous near the top. A must see is the gardens - take the time to go out and walk around, absolutely stunning. Really enjoyed our time here and would recommend to anyone. The scenery is just spectacular.

Beautiful Tranquil place in the middle of scenic hills forests and rivers. The Trang An river complex is a must see and Id recommend it over the Tam Coc anyday. The Trang An boat ride is approx 2.5 to 3 hrs and takes you through at least three water caves one of which is about 2omin long..its a once in a lifetime wondrous experience. Dont miss the Thung Nam bird park ..another beautiful hushded boat ride. Thoroughly enjoyable and Beautiful visit..not to be missed.

Pretty Speccy Scenery Yeah, Ninh Binh’s not bad at all. The landscapes are the real drawcard — all those limestone karsts and rice paddies make for a pretty magic view, especially if you hire a bike and cruise around. The boat trips through the rivers and caves are chilled and worth doin’. It’s heaps quieter than Hanoi, which is a nice break, though there’s not a huge amount going on after dark. You’re here for the scenery, not a big night out. Some of the tourist spots can feel a bit same-same after a while, and getting between ’em without a scooter or tour is a bit of a mission. Accommodation’s fine — nothing flash, but you’ll get a clean room and a cold beer without much fuss. Food’s simple but tasty, especially if you like fresh herbs and grilled stuff. All up, Ninh Binh’s a good spot for a couple of days if you’re keen on some easy-going nature and don’t mind a rustic vibe. Worth a look if you’re passing through — just don’t expect anything too polished. Chuck on a hat and some sunscreen, and you’ll be right.

Most people does day trip to Ninh Binh, but it needs 2 days as there are lot of places around to visit. Unless you know someone who lives there you will not be aware of these. My host was excellent to guide us 1. Tran An River cruise 2. Tom coc river cruise 3. Mua cave 4. Bai Din are the places must visit here

Ninh Binh – Vietnam’s Hidden Gem

Ninh Binh – Vietnam’s Hidden Gem Ninh Binh absolutely blew me away. It feels like a quieter, more peaceful version of Ha Long Bay but on land — stunning limestone mountains, rice fields, and winding rivers everywhere. I took a boat ride in Tam Coc, and it was incredibly scenic and calm, passing through caves and local villages. The people were welcoming, and the food was delicious and cheap. It’s the perfect spot to relax, explore nature, and escape the city rush. Easily one of my favorite places in Vietnam!

Very good location in Tam Coc: walking distance for the boat tour, or the Pagode. Nearby plenty of good restaurants as well. The room was quite large and the bed super comfy. We rented a scooter there as well and could discover plenty of Tam Coc, Trang An, as well as Ninh Binh and it was definitely worth it ! Pinky - the landlady - really made our stay enjoyable: always smiling, full of energy, and made extra efforts to help us discover Tam Coc. This stay was definitely one of our highlights in Vietnam :)

A lovely location with the best host! This is fantastic value for money in a great location in Tam Coc. Our host was so sweet, setting us up an area to nap in before our room was ready when we arrived at 0500am on the night bus. He gave us so many amazing recommendations of things to do and is clearly so passionate about Ninh Binh. The rooms are typical homestay so if you're used to hotels and fancy things that come with them then the homestay is basic in comparison but has everything you need!

It was such a great time! Dora is the best host and he helped us with everything! You need to go there and support Dora, he deserves it 100%. The room was so nice and clean, we loved it. The acommodation is perfect for a visit in tam coc/ ninh binh. There are so many beautiful places in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. You can either walk, bike, or ride a scooter. It was truly incredibly beautiful; the perfect location for us!
