One shouldn’t have any preconceived ideas before arriving at the cottage. We just loved the old doors and windows. Amazing hiking trails as well. Loved the open air bath and shower as there is nobody anywhere near. Just you, your partner and the beautiful nature surrounding you. The location is something out of a postcard, with stunning views of rolling fields and mountains. The rooms were cozy and featured crisp clean linen, the bathrooms were impeccably clean. The amenities were exceptional and added a luxurious touch to the experience. Collin was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, providing top-notch service! A perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. The self catering facilities are good, the water is hot and the braai area excellent. Wood is provided for 2 braai's. The view from the cottage is across the fields to the mountains. This old building has been lovingly restored. Comfortable beds (good bedding) and bathrooms with gas geysers. The fireplace is a huge plus in winter! The outside braai/firepit lovely to use! Colin was very attentive. Lots of fresh drinking water supplied and firewood starter pack. The majestic Meiringspoort for a drive and picnic very close. Very enjoyable stay!Guest review byAmandaGroup
