The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Great room, fabulous patio and garden and wonderful staff. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. This hotel has a home from home feel. Cream teas every afternoon, tea and coffee whenever you want and a small bar if you want alcohol. Guests are allocated their own parking space which is wonderful in this prime location. Next time we are in the Lake District, we will definitely book this delightful hotel. Thanks to all the staff that work in this establishment, we had a fabulous week.

So lovely! The room & washroom was spacious, the decor in line with the castle & Tudor house theme. The breakfast was the tastiest we had in the UK!! Also convenient to be on the grounds of the castle overnight and wander most places without the crowds.

With beautiful views of the Northern Fells, Ravenstone Lodge is 5 miles from Keswick, at the foot of Ullock Pike so you can relax in the conservatory or on the terrace and enjoy some of the best Lake... Very warm and cosy. Great restaurant and really good food. Friendly staff.
