The cottage is beautifully designed and furnished with stunning ocean views from the garden, the lounge/kitchen and bedroom. We loved the soaring church like ceiling, the artwork, the recycled timber floors and lead light windows and all the pieces of Kiwiana. Such a welcoming, comfortable cottage. The shower was great and the bed super comfy. It was well equipped and provisioned for self catering. Nice to have both an oven and a BBQ. The Coastal Walkway and the beach are just a few steps from the cottage but the lovely garden and native plantings ensure privacy and peace. Cassie and Shaun, it was a privilege to stay in your slice of Kiwi heaven. We will see you again next year.

We had a fabulous stay at Kawaroa Retreat! The house is beautiful, well taken care of and very welcoming, we felt at home there. We loved the layout and having so much space for our family. The garage was a huge plus! Another big plus is the location! Steps away from the amazing and huge playground/water park, access to the beach and the indoor/outdoor pool. Our kids had some much fun going there everyday. Location is also very close to shops and grocery stores (5 mins driving distance). Brett and Kim are fabulous hosts, they were able to answer our questions and are very responsive/helpful. We look forward to staying at Kawaroa Retreat when we visit New Plymouth in the future.
