Beauiful setting along the Camino de Santiago, in nature, with a renovated old stone house. We had room 7, a spacious room with slanted ceiling that has a very good feeling to it. Well thought through arrangements from mosquito mesh on windows and cross breeze to enough space to spread the contents of our backpacks and excellent lighting. Slept better than anywhere else on the Camino de Santiago. Extremely helpful host; also pointed out nearby eating options, offered to help order pizza (delivery), and has some basic foods including snacks / fruit / drinks for sale.

At the country house, all units are fitted with bed linen and towels. This was my favourite stay during my Camino! Julio was very welcoming, and him and Maria took good care of me. I had a hard time finding the place but it was worth the effort. I will return here someday. I had a great room, the property has animals that I visited with my coffee the next morning. Roses were just outside my room... I felt like a queen. Also, an excellent breakfast was provided. The dinner was good too. This was a special place. Walls are thin, so bring ear plugs.

Located in Lugo, in a historic building, 9 km from Congress and Exhibiton Center, O Forno de Catuxa Cottage & Roman Wall is a recently renovated country house with a garden and shared lounge. With garden views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The country house also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Location: Off-road but definitely worth to divert from a motorway. Calm, safe and nice rural location. We would like to stay more. Hotel: A carefully renovated old building. Interior designed with attention to details and to highlight remains of the old building. The price was higher than places around but it was definitely woth its price. Room: Our room was located upstairs (narrow stairs). It was narrow but long, the arrangement gave a comfortable place with sitting area (in an old school desk) and comfortable place for bags. electric sockets: many and easily accessible, including sockets near the bed; lighting: good. Stairs/elevator: there are rooms at the ground level and upstairs (no elevator, but you cannot expect this in an old farm house). Bed: large and comfortable. Bathroom: average in size, enough place for your toiletries, regular electric socket and heating. Large shower. Generally comfortable. Breakfast: Excellent. Wide selection of food for each taste, homemade cake, orange juice, good bread. We would like to taste more but would need additional stomache. WiFi: good. Staff: Nice and helpful. Parking: free, on site.

Very quiet location just off the Camino to Muxia. Lovely hostess who clearly enjoys taking care of pilgrim travelers. It is like staying in your grandmother’s beautiful house.

Very comfortable place to stay while visiting beaches and small towns nearby. It felt like a home away from home with the cozy accommodation, usable kitchen and laundry facilities.

The property features lake and river views, and is 15 km from Sil Canyon. The country house has family rooms. Another gem for a stay. Absolutely beautiful place. The view at the balcony of the bedroom is to die for, especially during sunset. The house is cozy and well-equipped. Very clean and well-maintained. Beds are also very comfortable. Communication with the host was great. She was very responsive. Julietta and her husband who checked us in are such wonderful people. They patiently showed us around the house. Julietta even shared with us the interesting places we can explore in the neighbourhood. No need to worry about parking as you can park the car just in front of the house. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again if we come back.
