Bordering South and Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan offers boundless landscapes of natural beauty. This entirely mountainous country is packed with tall peaks, glaciers and high-altitude lakes. The capital city of Bishkek makes for a wonderful stroll with its plethora of parks and historic monuments. It’s also worth wandering through the Osh Bazaar to soak up traditional Eastern vibes in this bustling marketplace. The country’s rugged terrain means there’s no shortage of adventurous activities. Motorbike mountain tours, hiking in secluded valleys and horse riding excursions near the Toktogul reservoir are just a few of the options on offer. Homestays are the most common form of accommodation in Kyrgyzstan, but yurt camps are easily the most traditional. These typical shepherd shelters make for a cosy stay, with most interiors decorated with colourful textiles.

Very lovely BNB in a residential neighbourhoos walking distance to the city centre. The owner is fantastic and goes out of his way to make your stay comforable. He was so helpful when I fell sick and had to stay an extra couple days unexpectedly, and was able to get me breakfest early when I had to leave early one day. Breakfast is lovely, good selection and fresh egg-based dishes on request. Would absolutely stay again.

Lovely yurt camp with different kinds of rooms to stay in. Gulnur and her family were amazing and compassionate hosts and helped us arrange an eagle show, taxis and prepared delicious breakfasts and dinners! The camp is just 10 minutes walk from a nice beach at the lake. The area is calm and we slept great during our stay. We had fantastic views of the mountains and orchards from the camp. We hope to be back some day!

New hotel. Very nice decoration. Beautiful room. Very good and rich breakfast. Water is provided at the reception 24 hours a day. It is a little further from the main square but you follow a straight path for 15 minutes and you are in a very central location. The guys working at the reception are excellent.
