The Hotel Alexander is located right at the Messe Basel fairgrounds and the Congress Centre, a 7-minute ride from the centre of Basel. The tram stop is right outside. Free Wi-Fi is available. Perfect location, very central and well connected with public transport, which is also free of charge thanks to the BaselCard provided by the hotel. The staff were very nice and careful about my gluten intolerance. They made sure there were options for me both for breakfast and for dinner! The room was also super clean with a very big and comfortable bathroom. My boyfriend and I were very happy about our stay, we will definitely book again if we come back to Basel!

I had a room with balcony, so spent my evening there with a nice view.

The family-run GAIA Hotel Basel can be found right across from Basel Main Train Station, only a 10-minute walk from the historic city centre. it was a very clean and beautiful hotel near the train station and old city. it was very convenient for our short stay in Basel after a river cruise on the Rhein .The bathroom had a great shower and large towels . The staff were very friendly and professional,they even let us check early at 09:30 am when we arrived from our cruise without us even asking for that ,we were hoping to be able to store our luggage to tour.

Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Good range of choice at breakfast. City pass covered tram use and 50% discount at the Kunstmuseum Basel. Highly recommended.

Situated in a historic building in central Basel, Euler Hotel is opposite the SBB Train Station. Guests receive a Mobility Ticket, granting free access to all means of public transport. Great experience. Far better than we had in Mulhouse on our stop to Colmar. Basel and this hotel in contrast were wonderfully organized and welcoming. Only problem that i had was the noise of the trams right under our window but not enough to hinder our sleep after a tiring day of exploring the city.
