Convento de San Benito is a restored convent, set in the pretty Galician fishing port of A Guarda. The spacious rooms all have a french balcony, a minibar and a safe. Beautiful old convent converted into a hotel. Comfortable and modern rooms, great rain shower and heds and even medieval tiles on the wall. Feels like way more than a 2 star hotel. Location meters away from the harbour and great restaurants is perfect as well

Some rooms also offer views of the Noya Estuary.... The fantastic customer service especially from Carlos - the best I've had in 45+ days in Spain! The breakfast was wonderful, they even had scrambled eggs and a little bit of everything, including my favorite, whole wheat croissants! You can even have a piece of the Galician favorite, Santiago cake. Also, the property was completely and tastefully renovated in 2012 according to the brochure. Easy 10 minute walk to the charming and historic old town along a scenic path overlooking the estuary.

This smart, state-of-the-art hotel is situated in the historical centre of Vigo and is ideal if you are visiting the city for sightseeing or on a business trip. The location was just what I needed, close to both the two train stations in Vigo (I arrived at one, left from the other - so that's why I chose the hotel. I arrive late and very tired, and then had to leave early the next morning (both the two times I stayed very recently). The staff were considerate (when I was tired) and organised an early breakfast for me in the morning.
