Set in beautiful gardens in the heart of Connemara, the romantic Abbeyglen Castle Hotel has tennis courts, a spa bath and stunning views of Clifden and the Twelve Bens mountains. The personal touch with the owners presence & involvement, their interest in where we were from was awesome; also learning about the history of the area added to the experience. Food was fantastic.

Buttermilk Lodge offers self-catering apartments 5 minutes' walk from Clifden town centre, you can just park your car and easily walk to town. The location was only a few minutes walk from the town of Clifden. The apartment was spotless, two large bedrooms and one was en suite, main bathroom and kitchen come living room. All linen and cutlery supplied. Tv in each room. Excellent accomodation

The Alcock and Brown hotel in Clifden is a central and cosy hotel offering a dedicated welcoming service in a relaxed atmosphere. A true Irish welcome is given to you at this hotel. From the minute we checked in till we left we received absolutely wonderful service. Everyone was so helpful and the food and the room was lovely. The breakfast was a perfect continental spread which exceeded our expectations. I must mention James Joyce the barman who makes the best cosmopolitan cocktail in Ireland. He was such a lovely person and so helpful. A definite must stay if you are in Clifden.
