The Tamara Coorg is a 5-star property about 8 km from Nalkanad Palace and Thadiandamol. I have had the pleasure to stay in this facility for 3 days. I booked it because it was close to my place of interest, because it had good reviews and because the pictures looked pretty. Little did I know how much I underestimated this resort! The combination of tranquility, breathtaking views from your "room", the omnipresent luxury, selection of superb activities, the cuisine, the actual living forest all around you and overall hospitality and service simply cannot be described by words. One must experience it first-hand to fully appreciate this gem of a property. This property is situated literally inside a functioning coffee plantation, where you can explore the coffee making process from blossom to brewing (and roast / grind coffee beans yourself!). That is only one of the few exceptional activities offered, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The plantation is huge, and so is the resort itself. So of course they drive you with a buggy, whenever you are not in a mood for a little walk. Your "room" is actually a cottage, suspended above tree foliage, with a sense of complete privacy, even though a next cottage is nearby. The view has depth which can only be experienced by the seashore, or at high altitude. The connection to nature is taken very seriously here, and can also be felt intensely everywhere - whether you are relaxing on the terrace of your cottage, or walking to the pool and spa, or just having dinner. Talking about dining. The selection and variety of meals is astonishing, and so is the flavor. The whole dining experience is wonderful - the taste, the drinks & cocktails, the fact that you are actually dining above the waterfall, prompt and kind service offered by every staff member (waiters and managers alike). I would especially like to spotlight Mr.Bishu, who was serving us for the duration of our stay. He was always professional, very kind, attentive to all our needs, and so polite. Perched 4000 feet above sea level on a peaceful hillside is Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa Coorg. The property is spectacular. The staff are incredible in their delivery of service and hospitality. The food is excellent too.

Best Concierge, best bf, Best staff, great location, Room size is huge, washroom is huge and reception area is super huge. Steam, sauna and jacuzzi was amazing.

Located in Koramangala, Bangalore, Grand Mercure offers extended stay and business travel accommodation with kitchens, living areas and private balcony. My wife and I stayed at the Mercure for a short 4-day trip to visit family. We got an apartment that also came with breakfast. The hotel is nestled in Koramangala amongst residential houses but tucked away from the main road so it provides privacy. The first thing that strikes you when you check in is the warmth and hospitality of the staff. They are very courteous, respectful, and always there to help you with your needs in a proactive manner. The room was very comfortable and clean. It comes with a living room and balcony, a kitchenette, and a separate bedroom. It is spacious and very well equipped with necessary amenities. The room is stocked with clean water in sealed bottles which is topped up everyday. Breakfast comprises a spread of local and international dishes. The local fare is something I would strongly recommend as the variety is nothing short of amazing, and very tasty. The staff at the Verandah (cafe where breakfast is served) are eager to serve and they will also recommend dishes that may not be on the buffet menu but can be ordered for the chef to dish out. The hotel also has a spa that has a range of services ranging from Swedish massage to the traditional Indian massages. Again something I would strongly recommend.
