Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. Small and well run family onsen ryokan with in house small outdoor and cave onsens which are private in the afternoon of check in and public by gender the next morning. The top floor room named "Maple" has wonderful view of the colourful vegetation on the mountain side and small water feature at the bottom. Owner operator is very attentive and service oriented. Highly recommended!!!

Onishiya Suisyouen nabízí krásné termální koupele, saunu a japonskou zahradu u řeky Maruyama. The room was amazing, typical japanese room with tatami, futon, all that. We had tea, water, beers available in the room. The bathroom had aminities available and was super nice. Overall it was super comfortable. The onsen inside the hotel was the best one out of all I saw in Kinosaki. Great experience! They gave us yukatas and towels, even footwear. You had free access to all onsens in town with a QR they provided you. Tattoos are not a problem too. We also had a kaiseki meal, which was an experience in itself. Some of the best food I had in Japan, and the service was amazing, we were explained what everything was and enjoyed it a lot. Our host was amazing. I am hoping to come back at some point in the future. The personel was amazing, super friendly and kind. It was a pleasure to be a guest! Definitely a highlight in my trip :)

Founded in the 12th century and beloved by Junichiro Tanizaki and other Japanese novelists, Tosen Goshobo is the oldest of the hot-spring inns at Arima. Our room was very beautiful and comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were served inside the guest room. The staff serving us was very friendly, and the food was top the notch. We tried both private onsen and public onsen. for us, the public onsen was better; it was outdoor with a nice view, and more spacious.

Only a 3-minute walk from JR Himeji Station, Dormy Inn Himeji Natural Hot Spring offers modern rooms with free WiFi is provided throughout the property. The location, the staff, the onsen - everything was great. The natural onsen's waters were very soothing, that it also had an outside pool was great. The staff was extremely friendly, suggesting places to see, and good restaurants. Their English was really good, and we asked help for another reservation and they called them in our name, and sorted out the problem for us. The location of the hotel is very close to the train station, and the main historical attraction (the Himeji castle) is in walking distance - so, it was a great place for a two day trip.

Hotel Okura Kobe is located on the waterfront, 500 metres from the Motomachi shopping area. Featuring Western-style rooms with free WiFi access, the hotel offers 6 dining options. I stayed for one night in early May. Would have stayed for longer if I could do it again. The hotel location is perfect, right on the Meriken Park. It offers a breathtaking view at night. Arriving by foot was a little bit awkward, having to pass the parking lot before reaching the entrance. It's clearly made with car/taxi arrival in mind. The way was clearly indicated, so not really a negative. The room was immense and very elegantly furnished. Some may find the furniture a little dated, but I love this style. Fancy restaurants and stores on the main floor (café Camelia has amazing cakes). Sadly, I had not enough time to enjoy all the facilities the hotel has to offer. Breakfast is served in a really ample room, so it doesn't feel too crowded even with the high amount of people present. Variety is astounding and everything tasted good.

The hotel is in a superb location, just 10 minute walk from the Himeji JR station, and 10-15 minute walk to Himeji castle. It was very clean, with a nice toilet and a comfortable bed. I recommend this place for travelers doing a trip around Japan, when they are looking for a nice and well located spot for exploring Himeji.

A 10-minute walk from JR Sannomiya Train Station, Kobe Sannomiya Union Hotel features a Japanese restaurant and a massage service. Rooms feature free Wifi and a flat-screen satellite TV. The staff helped me a lot with tourist and dining information.
