The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s... From the moment we arrived, the reception team greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism, making us feel instantly at home. The Library Room was an absolute delight—elegantly furnished with plush seating, rich wood accents, and a curated collection of books. On the morning, we were treated to an exceptional breakfast spread, offering a diverse array of delicious options.

This was our second stop upon arrival in Sri Lanka, after a night and day in Colombo. It has been my and my daughter's top favorite hotel and stay, because mainly of its colonial and historical charm. A wonderful place, led by a female manager, which is to be underlined, a very nice lady. The staff is local, the attention to detail as well (!), the food and breakfast are super copious, generous and fresh, there is a nice à la carte menu, and the pool is wonderful. My daughter enjoyed it! We were lucky to be and visit Galle during the week-end, so we didn't feel the over-touristic crowd and atmosphere, since many Sri Lankan were strolling along the city walls, visiting. This is definitely a very touristic spot, the many shops attest this, but there are a few very nice and niche places. Stay min 2 nights, and if you can and want you may tour the nearby beaches and towns and wildlife reserves from there, this is possible. We've also enjoyed our train ride from Colombo to Galle, which is not too long and absolutely wonderful in the lush coastline greenery. We loved our room, its setup, the geometry and decoration of the hotel, the beautiful purple lotus flowers and the local touches everywhere. Chic. It pleased my eye every day!

Very central to restaurants, ATMs, beach and mart. The spacious room had everything we needed- fresh water from the properties well, comfortable bed, hot shower, a fridge, aircon and fan. Paddy, the owner, was incredibly helpful and kind. We had a delicious breakfast every day looking out onto the pristine garden. His staff were always helpful and friendly. We will definitely return to this clean and wonderful property. Thank you for everything.

Personál byl velice milý a vstřícný. Vše bylo čisté a brunch byl dokonalý. Opravdu krásné, moderní místo. Evropský styl a opravdu výborné espresso 👌🏽 vrátili bychom se zpět.

Fort de 19 Villa - Galle Fort se nachází na ideálním místě v centru města Galle a nabízí pokoje s klimatizací a s bezplatným Wi-Fi a neplacené soukromé parkoviště. We really enjoyed our time here. They had a good parking area for our rented tuktuk. The room was great but what really stood out was the rooftop patio. It was nice seating up there for sunset. The family were very kind. Good location with everything in walking distance. It was quiet at night. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless!

The best place we have stayed during our travels throughout the world. Beautiful and comfortable room with own terrace, nice pool, lovely breakfast and attentive staff. Own part of a beach area with hammocks and beach chairs (the actual beach is not private, but only used by a few). Highly recommended

Srílanská Hotel Dunes Unawatuna je ekologický butikový hotel poblíž krásné pláže Unawatuna (100 metrů / 5 minut chůze). Naprosto profesionální přístup personálu i majitele, který byl na hotelu denně přítomny a stále se ujišťoval, jestli nám něco nechybí. V pokojích bylo úplně všechno potřebné vybavení- dokonce i zubní kartáček a pasta. Dole v hotelu byl barel s pitnou vodou, kde jsme si mohly kdykoliv doplnit pití. Ve skříni dole v lobby byly dokonce čisté osušky na pláž, plážové tašky a klobouky k půjčení zdarma.
