I recently stayed at this charming homestay located within the historic Galle Fort, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the fort, with easy access to its cobblestone streets, boutique shops, and delicious restaurants. However, the real highlight of this place is its stunning rooftop. The rooftop offers one of the breathtaking sunset views I’ve ever seen, specially you can enjoy lot of people hanging around on holidays with their family & friends , watch locals playing cricket , see people sitting enjoying the sun set on the wall & some even flying kites on the ramparts along with the sunset which is RARE. Every evening, I found myself eagerly heading up to watch the sky transform into a canvas of vibrant oranges, pinks, and purples as the sun dipped below the horizon. The panoramic view of the fort, the ocean, and the surrounding area made it feel like a private paradise. It’s the ideal spot to unwind with a cup of tea or a good book after a day of exploring. My room was beautiful & perfect with the Balcony & it had everything you want to make your stay comfortable. Comfy bed & water pressure was great. It had 2 large French windows which gives a bright light to the room. The homestay itself is cozy and well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, providing helpful tips about the area. While breakfast isn’t included, there are plenty of fantastic cafes and eateries within walking distance, so it wasn’t an issue at all. If you’re looking for a peaceful and picturesque place to stay in Galle Fort, this homestay is an excellent choice. The rooftop alone is worth the stay, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who loves a good sunset view. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

Sergeant House Boutique Villa & Private Beach je butiková vila z 19. století, která se vyznačuje koloniální architekturou a nachází se v těsné blízkosti pláže Unawatuna. Absolutely beautiful Hotel. I would like this to be my home. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is in this area.

Srílanská Hotel Dunes Unawatuna je ekologický butikový hotel poblíž krásné pláže Unawatuna (100 metrů / 5 minut chůze). Naprosto profesionální přístup personálu i majitele, který byl na hotelu denně přítomny a stále se ujišťoval, jestli nám něco nechybí. V pokojích bylo úplně všechno potřebné vybavení- dokonce i zubní kartáček a pasta. Dole v hotelu byl barel s pitnou vodou, kde jsme si mohly kdykoliv doplnit pití. Ve skříni dole v lobby byly dokonce čisté osušky na pláž, plážové tašky a klobouky k půjčení zdarma.

Roman Beach se nachází u pláže ve městě Hikkaduwa a nabízí venkovní bazén, soukromý úsek pláže a prostorné klimatizované pokoje s bezplatným Wi-Fi, vysokými stropy a výhledem na moře. We had a wonderful stay at Roman Beach Hotel. The service was exceptional and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was another highlight — delicious, with large portions that really exceeded expectations. The hotel wasn’t crowded, which made the atmosphere very relaxing. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It does show a bit of age, but nothing that affects comfort. We also had a jacuzzi in the room, which was a nice touch. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly — we were able to stream Netflix and YouTube without any lag. There was no TV in the room, possibly removed for repairs. Also, since we were on the top floor, the water pressure was a bit low. The location is right on the beachfront, but the beach itself is almost non-existent as the sea comes very close to the property. However, Narigama Beach is just a short 30-meter walk away and is much better for a beach experience. Overall, it was a really enjoyable and comfortable stay. Exceptional value for money. Would definitely recommend!

Suite Lanka se nachází na písečné pláži Hikkaduwa, jedné z nejširších pláží na západním pobřeží Srí Lanky. Nabízí prostorné ubytování, venkovní bazén a restauraci. Small resort with beach front. Rooms are spacious, so is the bathroom, which needs a little renovation (might be like that because we came end of season - lit last days of it). Beds are wide and comfortable with clean bedsheets. Superior rooms have an amazing view over the sea/ocean. The waves can be easily heard - ocean symphony. Amazing breakfast, despite the fact that I was having the same every day, toasted bread with local butter and jam and the big pot of Sri Lanka coffee. I have to mention that the food at their restaurant is delicious, compared to many others - so don’t hesitate to try along with the local beer or any other cocktails during the happy hour. Beach is clean but not possible to swim, but the view is amazing (daytime, sunset). If speaking about the staff, I have to thank Mr Kumara who helped me get my luggage since was lost at the airport and he helped with all the paperwork even the calls to the airport, very careful, attentive to details, not only with regards to this case but in general. The staff is wonderful, always there when needed, attentive and polite. Security available at night, very polite gentleman.
