The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s... The colonial architecture hotel itself is one of Galle’s highlights, and I was constantly able to feel the city’s history by my side. The breakfast had many options and was very delicious!

This was our second stop upon arrival in Sri Lanka, after a night and day in Colombo. It has been my and my daughter's top favorite hotel and stay, because mainly of its colonial and historical charm. A wonderful place, led by a female manager, which is to be underlined, a very nice lady. The staff is local, the attention to detail as well (!), the food and breakfast are super copious, generous and fresh, there is a nice à la carte menu, and the pool is wonderful. My daughter enjoyed it! We were lucky to be and visit Galle during the week-end, so we didn't feel the over-touristic crowd and atmosphere, since many Sri Lankan were strolling along the city walls, visiting. This is definitely a very touristic spot, the many shops attest this, but there are a few very nice and niche places. Stay min 2 nights, and if you can and want you may tour the nearby beaches and towns and wildlife reserves from there, this is possible. We've also enjoyed our train ride from Colombo to Galle, which is not too long and absolutely wonderful in the lush coastline greenery. We loved our room, its setup, the geometry and decoration of the hotel, the beautiful purple lotus flowers and the local touches everywhere. Chic. It pleased my eye every day!

El Camellia Dwelling, situado en Hikkaduwa, ofrece alojamiento tranquilo y confortable, conexión Wi-Fi gratuita en todo el establecimiento, exuberantes jardines, recepción 24 horas y aparcamiento... Camellia Dwelling was a dream to stay at! Very central to restaurants, ATMs, beach and mart. The spacious room had everything we needed- fresh water from the properties well, comfortable bed, hot shower, a fridge, aircon and fan. Paddy, the owner, was incredibly helpful and kind. We had a delicious breakfast every day looking out onto the pristine garden. His staff were always helpful and friendly. We will definitely return to this clean and wonderful property. Thank you for everything.

La Villa Amma Erna cuenta con piscina al aire libre y conexión gratuita a internet. Cuenta con interiores contemporáneos y habitaciones elegantes con ventilador. Hemos pasado dos días geniales en Villa Amma. Es un sitio precioso, cuidado al detalle, cerca de Galle pero un poco apartado para estar más en la naturaleza. El desayuno es un brunch ESPECTACULAR cada día diferente, preparado con cariño. Unos cafés buenísimos en la piscina, que está muy limpia. La ducha sale presión y es muy amplia y las habitaciones son muy grandes y luminosas. Lo recomiendo 100%. El personal es muy amable y está pendiente de que no te falte nada y con una sonrisa siempre. Como se nota cuando las cosas se hacen con cariño. Me parece un proyecto precioso. Gracias!!

Fort de 19 Villa - Galle Fort es un alojamiento bien situado en el centro de Galle que ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado y wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. We really enjoyed our time here. They had a good parking area for our rented tuktuk. The room was great but what really stood out was the rooftop patio. It was nice seating up there for sunset. The family were very kind. Good location with everything in walking distance. It was quiet at night. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless!

El Sergent House se encuentra junto a la playa de Unawatuna y ocupa una villa boutique con una arquitectura colonial que data de 1800. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The courtyard is beautiful, the staff are friendly and the food was delicious!

Sri Lanka Dunes Unwatuna es un hotel boutique respetuoso con el medio ambiente cerca de la hermosa playa de Unawatuna (100 metros / 5 minutos a pie). It's a really nice property with great staff and great service. It's relaxing to have a place like this out from the madness of the local town. Good food, too.

El Suite Lanka se encuentra en la playa de arena de Hikkaduwa, una de las playas más amplias de la costa oeste de Sri Lanka. Ofrece alojamiento amplio, piscina al aire libre y restaurante. Es un hotel pequeño, en la playa, tranquilo, con mucha calidad en todo lo que ofrece y un personal encantador. Tiene una pequeña piscina, hamacas, terraza, zona de bar.. .. Nuestra habitación tenía una terraza preciosa, era grande y cómoda. Baño, bien
