Surrounded by beautiful native trees and bush land, Aspen Court Motel Franz Josef offers guests free Wi-Fi. Opened in December 2013, the property offers heated rooms with a flat-screen TV. They gave us a huge 2 bedroom suite for only 2 of us! It’s very clean and modern. And directly across the street from the DOC visitor center. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Opened in 2014 and offering 20 luxurious rooms with free WiFi, Franz Josef Oasis is just 10 minutes’ drive from the Franz Josef Glacier. Angela took very good care of us !!! Good breakfast 😋. Comfortable rooms.

The staff was great. They were responsive when we reported loud noise after hours. The room and bathroom are large and the kitchenette is well supplied. The bed is huge and very comfortable. There is not much of a view but you are located close to Woolworths and several fast food restaurants if you desire.
