The location in V.N. de Milfontes is pretty perfect, right in the center of the original town, very close to the river Mira and the fortress/castle, but away from the main drag. We made use of the guest kitchen and living room upstairs on a few cool evenings to play cards and sip some excellent Alentejo red wine. Gorgeous wild beaches to explore each day along with sections of the Fisherman‘s Trail. A perfect place to experience Portugal!

Três Marias is located in the serene countryside of the Northern Alentejo, just 4 km from Aivados Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. Mules , 3 ostriches and 3 donkeys are permanent residents at the hotel. You imagine yourself in an oasis of tranquility. It is beautifully landscaped with flower beds. In the back of the grounds, donkeys and ostriches welcomes you. The pool lays on the perfect spot and gives you a wide view of the area. I recommend everyone to have dinner at the hotel, beautiful simple dishes and a fantastic host. Great honesty bar concept. We will come back for sure.
