Surrounded by vast, tree-lined gardens, the charming Convento São Paulo offers 2 outdoor pools a tennis court and offers 4 padel courts. A very interesting convent in lovely countryside. We could explore the historic building. We were here in November so didn’t get chance to use the swimming pool but that looked worth coming back for. There are a couple of great walks laid out in the Convent estate. We had a good dinner in the restaurant. The room and breakfast were excellent, staff very helpful. We have already recommended it to friends who also travel in the area.

Still as good as it was. Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice and quiet. Good breakfast with reasonable selection for a small hotel. Rita the manager is very friendly and super helpful. Nice to have the swimming pool too. Great views across the vineyards to Estremoz in the distance. Short drive into a town with plenty of restaurants and cafes.

Ubytování v samostatném domku v rámci zemědělské usedlosti. Mimořádně přátelští majitelé a velmi krásné prostředí celé usedlosti. Škoda, že jsme zde mohli být jen jednu noc.

Hotel Solar Dos Mascarenhas se nachází v historickém městě Vila Vicosa, 300 metrů od Vévodského paláce, a nabízí ubytování v budově ze 16. století, stáje a staré zahrady. This hotel is a wonderful example of adaptive use. The front part of the hotel is housed in a 16th century building while the rooms are all brand new construction. It is a beautiful space, clean lines, and comfortable furnishings. Plenty of places to lounge throughout the property, both inside and outside. The breakfast was outstanding, with great options to fit all eating styles. I especially enjoyed trying the regional cheeses. Will definitely go back when I’m in that part of the country.
