Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. Beautiful setting and an easy drive after a day spent at Storms River mouth. Rooms large and comfy with views of the gorge. Plenty to offer: sauna, spa, pool, playground for kids - one night here was not long enough. Fantastic meals and a great wine cellar, the dining room with beautiful views of the gorge and waterfalls.

Located in Keurboomstrand, Singing Kettle Beach Lodge features panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and has an à la carte restaurant, terrace and free WiFi. Location, attention to detail, overall brilliant.

Overlooking the Indian ocean, Dune Beach House is set on the beachfront in Wilderness. It features an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi access is available throughout. Beautiful room and shared areas, right on the beach, delicious breakfast and really friendly staff and owner. Service 12 out of 10 points ;-) Would definitely be back.

First everyone is extremely welcoming and very friendly. They allowed us an early check in and a late check out. They also gave us an upgrade which was amazing! The rooms were very very clean! The view of the sea was breathtaking! The entire experience was spectacular I honestly didn’t want to leave I wish I could stay there forever! The breakfast was so delicious there were a day when I lay in bed at night thinking about the food. I honestly can’t do this place justice it’s probably one of if not the best place I have ever stayed in. Thank you so much for making our stay lovely!!!

This former power station is located in Knysna and offers sunny suites with an iPod docking station and views of the Knysna Lagoon. The spacious sun deck comes with an outdoor pool. Absolutely everything to like about this hotel. The location on Thesen Island the views, the friendly smiling staff and their willingness to assist in any way. Quite location but with everything on hand. Not just a mini bar but a well equipped kitchenette and a nice touch with a fresh lemon on the chopping board. Just perfect. Even the loo had a view!

Falcons View Manor is situated on a hill overlooking Knysna Lagoon, 700 metres from the town centre. It features an outdoor pool, a library and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. My stay at Falcons Manor exceeded expectations. I stayed for a week and planned to do hiking and yoga while in the area. The staff were superb, they provided great advice, connected me with local services and guides; they were thoughtful and helpful. The food was excellent, dinners and breakfast. The breakfast choices were many, with lots of fresh fruits and great coffee. The pool was great and the gardens are lovely. A very relaxing and quiet location. I can’t recommend the place enough! Thank you for everything!
