The Slate is close enough to shops and restaurants and far away enough to take a break from it all. Very clean. Easy to use access codes for entry. Hotel is also very quiet inside. WiFi is very fast and reliable. Heating controls are easy to use and the room is quickly heated. Beds and pillows are very comfy and welcomed after a day in the city.. A bonus is Tim Hortons is about 150m west of the hotel

Staff was beyond welcoming. From the entrance door to the front desk , everyone was so accommodating and friendly! Hotel itself is a brand new building so it just feels good to stay in it. Our room faced the billy bishop airport so it was really cool to watch all the planes landing from my bed!
