The hotel lies in beautiful surroundings above Donostia-San Sebastian - on a very steep hill. My fault for not chhecking a topographical map, but the two kilometers to the beach were not easily traversed with a leisurely stroll. Luckily there is a bus right outside the hotel that will take you to thhe main beach in about half an hour.
The owner/ manger and the staff were incredible. Very caring, and took the time to inform each guest of places to go in SS, they hhad a list of restaurants to try, information on getting around, etc. It just was a magnificently welcoming experience.
