Stayed here for 2 nights to attend a work conference, all of the hotel personnel were polite and friendly, the hotel was lovely and clean and the room was a good size. Would happily stay here again.

I made an upgrade through Booking for a larger room with street view and was not disappointed: the room was large, set at a corner with a view through two windows, with a relatively large bathroom separated from the toilet and with (superb joy!) a bathtub! Of course you could use it also as a shower. Hotel is listed as a 3-star but if I had been told it was actually a 4-star I would not have been surprised because it fits my criteria for a reasonably good hotel of that category. For a 3-star it is excellent and I rated it accordingly. The same can be said of the breakfast. I was driving and picked this hotel because it is set by a main avenue easily accessible from the West-East freeway and has a own garage in the building for ca. 70 cars (with an entrance at the corner, past the gas station). Yet (surprisingly) it is not far from Gran Via and you can easily walk there and to Callao and Puerta del Sol in less than 20 minutes. Also the underground station is 2 or 3 minutes away and two of the main lines cross there: one stopping e.g. at Sol and one stopping e.g. at Goya amidst many other prime stations. Price is OK for Madrid, particularly on weekdays, if you reserve early. Friday + Saturday nights may cost twice the price.

I got a free room upgrade on arrival (double room although I had booked a single room). Very friendly staff, very clean room. The beds and pillows were excellent and breakfast plenty and tasty.

NH Madrid Zurbano is set in Madrid’s Chamberi district, 100 metres from Paseo de la Castellana Boulevard. It offers free Wi-Fi and has good access to public transport and the IFEMA Trade Centre.

Very good breakfast. A very comfy room, not that big but even not that small (it was really good for one person or a couple). I personally loved the shower, very good water pressure and temperature for a very hot Madrid during August. Getting to the hotel was also easy by using Metro (subway) and then just a couple of steps until the reception's door.

NH Collection Madrid Abascal is a former embassy building in central Madrid, next to Paseo de la Castellana. It has free WiFi, a free gym, and an attractive terrace.
