Fantastic experience, five stars and beyond. Everything works in the well-oiled machinery that is Taj Coromandel, all has been perfectly planned, from the scent of the lobby upon stepping in through the main doors, to the threadcount in the (excellent) bedlinen. The courteousness and attentiveness of the staff was a big part of the five star-experience. Smiles never seemed forced, and I felt welcome and at ease despite not being a ”typical” affluent guest and despite arriving with a backpack. The breakfast exceeded my (high) expectations - the black coffee was the real deal and the french toast was the best I’ve ever had. Everything is done to perfection here. I also visited the hotel’s spa, which was a five star-experience too.
