It takes 15 min till nearest Rialto stop from Santa Lucia train station by water bus. And 7 min walking to Hotel Palazzo Vitturi. Reason why we chose this hotel is that it locates two (San Marco & Rialto Bridge) important places very closely.
Also, easy access(12 min walking) to ‘Fondamente nove Sta.’ (water bus stop) for Murano Island.
This 13th century building is well renovated, and room is spacious. It was hot day but inside was kept cool and comfortable.
All staffs are kind and room clearing is good, too.
Breakfast has a lot of varieties and it’s one of the unforgettable moments looking at square and historical church from breakfast salon.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time staying at the Casa Verardo hotel and we’d highly recommend it to other travellers. The hotel is conveniently situated only five minutes away from the San Marco square and the San Zaccaria vaporetto station. It was therefore easy for us to quickly reach the heart of city while also being able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the somewhat remote street, where the hotel is located. The whole place has a charming atmosphere and the interiors are beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was continental, with sufficient choice of sweet and savoury foods, including some gluten-free pastry as well. I especially have to commend the hotel staff who were all incredibly friendly and helped us with everything we needed, including allowing us to keep our luggage at the hotel for a few hours after checking out. We look forward to coming back at some point for sure!

I’ve been to many 5 star hotels around the world, but I have never seen such amazing staff! Thank you so much Ivan, Marco, Cristina, Ana and all other beautiful people whose name I don’t know. We loved the location of the hotel, very nice breakfast and the beautiful interior design of the place. I would definitely recommend it. We are already dreaming of going back.

The hotel is easily accessible on foot, a 5-minute walk from Rialto ferry station.
Our room was really nice and comfortable, facing the canal.
The breakfast was great - not a huge selection but we had everything we usually need :)
I would like to highlight the kindness and helpfulness of the staff - just one example: we had an early check-out, before breakfast time, however, we were still allowed to have breakfast that morning and the lady who was taking care of the kitchen and breakfast area (despite being completely alone that morning) served us immediately and did her best to accommodate us.
