Excellent meal in the evening overlooking the pool
Evening flight , so we were able to stay next to the pool and read, buy a light lunch at the outdoor kitchen

The Hotel was very well located, Boudha Stupa was within a 10 minute walk. The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the food tasted delicious!

Great location, so close to Buddha Stupa, with lots of cafe around yet not noisy. very clean & spacious hotel/room with lots of facilities, including lift, wonderful hot shower & clean bathroom, super supportive & friendly receptionists and cleaners, happy it’s not crowded.

Our stay at Shambling Boutique Hotel was both an amazing start for our visit to Nepal as well as a beautiful gift for Christmas.
Every little detail was so charming and full of heartwarming hospitality.
It started with the smooth and welcoming pick-up from the airport, the warm reception, and continued with the tastefully decorated room, the perfect cleanliness, hot water (in Nepali winter) and the incredibly cosy bed.
he food was just another highlight: breakfast set in the serene garden and dinner in the restaurant under the Christmas tree, we enjoyed every delicious bite and sip.
But what stood out the most was the skilful and truly caring staff. Whenever even a hint of a wish arose, someone was already there to make it come true. Always gentle, always with a solution right on the spot and always with a bright smile.
This is hospitality at it's best.

Nice hotel located close to the Bouddhanath stupa. Stayed at this hotel twice. Run by a lovely Sherpa family. Highly recommended, very clean room, lovely hot shower.

There was nothing that we disliked about this hotel. We stayed for 2 weeks.
What we loved was:
Restaurant food choice and quality. A breakfast choice of American, Indian or items off of the menu with tea or coffee. The restaurant is on the 6th floor with nearly 360 degrees of amazing views of the city and airport.
Friendly and courteous staff without exception.
Helpful and available for any queries we had. I understand some hotels have very pushy staff trying to force you into their trips but we were never sold to - not even once.
Clean, spacious well equipped rooms - we stayed in 101 facing the front and still slept very well.
The area felt safe with plenty of local shops and supermarkets. We used to walk regularly to the Buddha Stupa which took about 20 mins. To get to other tourist places was a taxi ride but taxis are cheap and plentiful and fares agreed before getting in!
If returning to Kathmandu we will 100% rebook at Sherpani. Thank you to all the staff!
