Excellent! It’s only two of us, we booked a room but got a whole boat! The boat is stranded so it’s quite stable and not shaking at all! We love the privacy and quiet, very relaxed and perfect for our last day of the trip! So very closed to airport.

It was a great experience and authentic to be at a boathouse. It's nothing like an hotel, but yet do you have the freedom to be on your own terms, I got to enjoy live guitar and all personnel was really really wonderful specially Joane. Wifi worked very well, including teams video calls. thanks!

It was indeed an honor to be among the first guests of the Martinhal Lisbon Oriente, having checked in only ten days after its grand opening. The hotel's excellence was apparent from the outset. The rooms were expansive, boasting luxuriously appointed kitchens that left no detail untouched. The hotel's swimming amenities included both outdoor and indoor pools, each impeccably clean and welcoming, a testament to the property's newness. Cutting-edge technology was interspersed throughout the hotel, with many sensor-driven features offering a seamless experience. The front desk staff was incredibly warm and considerate, with a special mention for Rafael who embodied a welcoming spirit akin to coming home to family. Communication, check-in and check-out were very smooth. Location was perfect for our stay (close to airport and Oriente station for onward travel). The boat is exactly as described and per the pictures. Very clean. Nicely made beds, plenty of towels, coffee machine with Nespresso capsules, clean bathrooms, good water pressure, even iron and ironing board are available. Despite availability of numerous bars and restaurants on the nearby promenade, it was very quiet at night so we slept very well. Don’t think any of the nearby hotels can beat a quiet, sunny morning coffee on the boat’s sundeck overlooking the marina. Definitely recommend!

Me and my partner stayed on this boat for an entire week and we must say we had an amazing experience staying there. Even my partner that isn’t particularly fan of boats, ended up truly loving the experience and we’re absolutely sure that we’re coming back! The boat is super cozy and our host João made sure we had everything we needed. Just a reminder that the communal bathrooms are indeed a 3 minute walk away from the boat. They are however inside the harbour itself and are luckily not available to those without access. Despite the communal bathrooms being in a bit rougher state, they are getting cleaned twice a day and consist of seperate buildings for male/female. The harbour is situated close to the train station and shopping center, the location was perfect for us as the City Centre was easily accessible with a bus or tram within 30-40min, with a busstop that’s just a quick walk away from the harbour. There’s also an abundance of restaurants and bars in the near area too, it was pretty calm during the week. Only during the weekend there was a little bit more noise, but we could barely notice from within the boat. We’d like to thank João for all the care during our visit. We even had the honour to go sailing together with João for a whole 2 hours till the sunset. Staying on a boat is quite different than a hotel but we’d trade all other options for the possibility of waking up, enjoying the sunrise above the sea and having breakfast on a boat once more. This night on a boat at Lisbon was one of the most fabulous things to come along on my pilgrimage to Fatima... And the best outside of Fatima. :-) I loved it. Super-friendly and accommodating host, close to restaurants, the promenade and some World Expo 1998 sights, close to the airport and Oriente Train Station ... The best thing is really sleeping on a rocking boat with the wind and the waves around. Best sleep ever. The bed is not really big, if you try to sleep in it with two people. Triangular, which might make it difficult. But super comfortable. And you have to be aware: You are on a boat. Meaning: Not a lot of space. Mini-toilet. You have to walk to the shower cabin... That kind of stuff. You are also in a Marina, so there might be other people on other boats... But if you love sailing or want to try it out: This is one great way to spend your Lisbon vacation. You might not even leave the boat and just chill... If you dream of an inexpensive but very original and simply beautiful way of staying close to the city - but not in the hustle and bustle... Then you have to try this out.
