This hotel is expensive, very expensive, but the room is so clean and the facilities amazing that I really felt it was worth it. If you are someone, like myself, who likes extreme cleanliness, I would say this is for you. Location is central, in the heart of Waikiki, so you can walk easily to the beach, if you are a beach person. All in all, if I'll ever come back to Hawaii, this is def the place I would stay again.

Staying at Halekulani was an unforgettable experience. The hotel is elegant, peaceful, and beautifully located right on Waikiki Beach. My room was spotless, with an ocean view that took my breath away every morning.
The staff were outstanding — always kind, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. Every detail, from the fresh flowers to the evening turndown service, made the stay feel special.
The fact that there’s no resort fee is a rare bonus in Waikiki, and it made the experience feel even more generous. The pool, restaurants, and spa were all top-notch. I left feeling relaxed and truly cared for. I’d return without hesitation.

The location & view were both fantastic. The unit was tasteful & well furnished. Check is was easy & instructions provided were easy to follow. Hosts kept us updated & were available if needed. Easy walk to restaurants & tour operator located in the lobby was easy to deal with & helpful.

Great location! Waikik is one of the best parts of Honolulu, there are plenty of shops, big brands and restaurants in an easy reach. Also, the famous Waikiki beach is about 5 minutes by walk.
The facilities are awesome! We didn't get to the pools, but we loved the washing room, it came very handy that we could clean our dirty clothes in the middle of a long trip (for free).
The room was one of the best ones, if not the best one, we ever had! Everything seemed to be brand new, the furniture has great quality. We loved that the doors of each rooms are opening in each others - so, you can walk around from the living room through the bedroom and bahtroom, then get back to the living room (though not having a door on the toilet is an interesting choice).
The kitchen was fully equipped, we loved the USB plugs at the bedsides and to have both a bath tube and a shower cabin.

We travelled with our almost one year old and the room worked perfectly for us. Kitchen facilities were excellent and it was perfect having a seperate bedroom and a bathroom with both bath and shower. The whole suite, including all kitchen items were immaculately clean as well and although we were next to the laundry room and close to the lifts our room was super quiet all the time. Free washer/dryer facilities were a super handy added bonus. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times and accommodated us with an early check in. The rooftop pool/bar set up was really well done and never too busy, yes the pool is just a plunge pool but it still did the trick and with the great views you really can't complain. Location was great with the beach an easy 5-10 min walk (either Fort DeRussy or Waikiki) or 15mins to the Hilton lagoon and close to all shops and restaurants. This was our fourth visit to Waikiki and our first in this hotel, I would definitely recommend it.
