Margarita and her team have created such a welcoming and relaxing environment here, the food is delicious and cooked to order , the trips and activities available for you to book are great, and the decking area over the sea is a beautiful place to relax. The site is charming, it has a natural feel with lots of trees and shaded seating areas and sweet animals wandering around .Our hut was on the beach front with a lovely terrace and the views were incredible. The term "Eco" is used very loosely in the region, but Ubuntu truly does live its values. The site has such an interesting story and I encourage everyone there to discuss the project with Margarita and hear of the wonderful work she is doing to share her learnings and promote community/eco tourism across the National park. This made the community feel of Ubuntu all the more special and we were so grateful to be able to visit this amazing but fragile environment whilst staying somewhere with sustainability in mind. I would highly recommend this place to all!

El Embrujo Tintipan se nachází v destinaci Tintipan Island a poskytuje zahradu, soukromou pláž, sdílený lounge a terasu. Amazing location in the Caribbean! We definitely recommend the chalet option, we loved the view on the mangroves from the bathroom, where you can admire the colourful crabs and we even spotted two raccoons passing by! They are currently expanding with 3 additional chalets. The water in front is a snorkeling paradise, with underwater plants, corals and loads of tropical fish in shallow water for as far as you can see. The water is calm and you can swim quite far out of the shore, just be sure to wear a floating jacket and buoy for safety. Also bring some protective shoes to protect yourselves and the corals, the water is quite shallow and corals are hiding inbetween the waterplants. We also did some tours with the hotel which are done with the hotel boat, our favourite is the reef snorkeling tour. It was the most beautiful snorkeling we ever done, and is only 1 km straight across the hotel on the edge of the archipelago. So magical we did this tour twice! The plankton tour is also recommended, but requires the moon to be down for more darkness, in our case at 4.00 a.m. Also amazing to see the stars at night! Lastly we did the islands tour, which brings you around the 3 main islands (Tintipan, Mucura and Islote) and a stop on each (we combined it with a reef snorkeling tour). We passed numerous hotels, but concluded El Embrujo was indeed the best choice. Seems the sea can be somewhat rougher on other sides of the islands, or less underwater life/deeper sea. The kiosk at their own pier is also the best place to watch the sunset every night, and during the day is a nice cool shadow oasis with some wind in (for me) too hot conditions on the shore. Due to the Caribbean weather probability of being more volatile, we booked extra nights to ensure we at least would have some good days. Prior to arrival the weather forecast showed rain and thunder everyday, so we were quite worried.

Hostel Santa Cruz del Islote se encuentra en el Archipiélago de San Bernardo, en el islote de Santa Cruz. Contamos con restaurante, bar salón compartido. One of the best stays you can have. There is a coral reef right in front of the property. Watching the sunsets and sunrises from the balcony/terrace area is a treat incomparable. The food was delicious. Internet was surprisingly very reliable. The host is great.

We spent four nights to relax at the beach after our month travelling throughout Colombia, and the people working at this hotel are really amazing. Very helpful and kind. They also helped us organizing trips to Plancton and diving. And last, but not least, the restaurant is perfect! They offer a big variance of food and everything is very tasteful. Even guests from other hotels are coming to this place for their dinner!

Amazing place, absolutely stunning location and very friendly staff. Private beach is really nice and also offers natural shade under mangrove trees. The rooms itself are beautiful - every detail just works.

Little piece of Paradise in the middle of the ocean. Perfect for relaxing and procrastinating. The staff (especially Ingrid) and service are just great. The food is amazing with a lot of local options that we loved. The setting is beautiful, amazing views and very private. No music, very premium environment. Our room was right on the sea, we woke up with the sun every morning. There were several activities available and we chose the night snorkelling. We had a magical moment swimming in the mangroves at night with the fluorescent phytoplankton (organised by Mucura travel). An experience to remember.
