The place is very well set up and the owners are kind and helpful people. It's a family operation with lots of experience in hospitality. The rooms are clean and functional. The meals were nice too. We would definitely stay here again.

Ciza e Rose se nachází v destinaci Portela a nabízí zahradu, sdílený lounge, terasu a výhled na město. Na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště. Některé ubytovací jednotky mají balkon a/nebo patio.... I booked for 2 nights with breakfast included in October. It was the end of the rainy season and everyone in town was busy with renovations for the upcoming high season. It is a family business and the hosts are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Ciza is a professional, very knowledgeable and passionate tour guide and Rose is an excellent cook. When booking, I did not inform them of my dietary needs (very sorry) and they were able to accommodate me on the spot, which I appreciated very much. I decided to extend my stay for another 2 nights because I really enjoyed it and there are many things to explore. I would recommend not only staying at Ciza&Rose, but also letting them organize the hiking activities for you so that you get the most out of your vacation in Portela.

Hotel Savana se nachází v destinaci São Filipe a má venkovní bazén, zahradu, terasu a bar. Tento hotel se 3 hvězdičkami nabízí pokoje s klimatizací, vlastní koupelnou a s bezplatným Wi-Fi. Upgraded for free, amazing hotel, very nice staff, great location. Everything was really perfect !

Casa alcindo se nachází v Chã das Caldeiras a nabízí bar. K dispozici je nepřetržitě otevřená recepce a restaurace. Výhled směřuje na hory. Všechny pokoje v tomto bed and breakfast mají šatní skříň. Amazing place at the bottom of the volcano, the views are spectular. Garden is so pretty and well maintained. The owner took really good care of us and I could see all guests were well taken care of. She arranged our guide, picnics for the hike and was super responsive and nice.

TCHAN LOVe se nachází v destinaci Portela a má restauraci, dětský klub, bar, zahradu, terasu, dětské hřiště a výhled na město. This is a very nice place to stay for couple nights. Quiet, comfortable. Breakfast was included and I have asked for it at 6am, so the Lady just left it from the evening (coffee in a termopot). Also you can ask for a dinner, which is really good, super tasty (Ive got a fish with rice and veggies for 900 escudo). And also you can ask for some wine (industrial or craft homemade, about 200 per glass). The place has not many reviews but it's seems super new, means you will have also super new bathroom which is nice bonus for staying. As for the transfer: you can book the place in Alluger with the room booking. The way from Sao Filipi is 50-60 mins and costs 1000 escudo. As for the trekking: 1. The location is the best, right next to the start of few trekking routes 2. You can ask the owner for a guide, just ask for someone local who is actually based here in Caldeiras and not in Sao Filipe. As for the Pico Grande you will definitely need a guide because it's super tricky route. For the Pico Grande the usual price is 6000 per person but it's could be a discount if you are in group 3. Also you can walk by yourself (without guide) for couple places: e.g Pico Pequeno (it's now that far) and also you can walk to the Forest Monte Velha (about 5 kms till the entrance to the Forest) or even to Mosteiros (about 16 kms in total, 10 kms at the normal road and 6 kms are a bit difficult, inside the forest - not the easiest trail but it's possible)

Great location, at the foot of the volcano and in the middle of the village. If you choose to eat there, food is really great and you are welcome at the host’s.

Fogo Boutique Hotel se nachází v destinaci São Filipe a poskytuje ubytování s venkovním bazénem, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, zahradou a sdíleným loungem. Pláž Playa Sao Filipe je 1 km daleko. Everything was perfect. The location and the view is spectacular, even better than the photos. And the staff went above and beyond with everything. We were treated so well. The food was also delicious. Would definitely come back!

COSEC Tours se nachází v destinaci Cova Figueira a nabízí venkovní bazén, sdílený lounge, bar a bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách. The location is good, at the edge of a peaceful and friendly village means no noises at night. Also not far from Fogo viewpoint (20min drive). Bus station 30sec walking, supermarket and restaurant 10sec as both are available directly in / at the house. The owner is super friendly and is easily available via booking or WhatsApp. The room is big, with a big comfy bed and enough plugs to charge your stuff. There is a small balcony, and the bathroom has a good shower with hot water. Everything is clean and the WiFi works great. Secured parking is also available. There is a nice terrace with a pool and great views. I really liked my stay here and can totally recommend this place.
