EVERYTHING! Greeted by Capt. Murdo, we were immediately made to feel at home. Everything we thought we needed was already here. And the location couldn’t be beat. We looked out the front window and saw Doune Broch just steps from our door. We didn’t climb it once we climbed it twice because it was just so breathtaking. The black houses, alpacas, the standing stones, everything was just around the corner. It was brilliant. I have to say it’s the only vacation stay I’ve ever had where I was truly sad to leave. Being from America , this is the other side of the world and it’s a side I wish I could stay on. Thank you to Captain Murdo and for anyone considering staying on the Island of Lewis, if you’re lucky enough to find this available, grab it you’ll never be happier with any place you’ve ever stayed. Plus, there is a great gift shop a block down where Angus has some great gifts from the area at super prices.

A terrific location, very peaceful with its garden overlooking the beach and the sea. Very scenic surroundings. Secluded from the main road, down a track. Yet only a few minutes drive from the Ferry terminal at Tarbert and with a pleasant walk into the village from the cottage The cottage was cosy and very comfy for relaxing, with two large lounging areas, as well as a dining area, well stocked kitchen and large bedrooms and well stocked games cupboard

It had everything we needed and more. The outside space was a bonus too. Everything was high end quality. It was so cosy and so comfortable. Thank you.

Newly renovated, immaculate property, finished to a very high standard. Beautiful rural location with gorgeous views of the sea and surrounding countryside. Nice outdoor seating area which is a lovely suntrap in good weather. Very peaceful and within easy drive of all you would want to see on this beautiful island. Spacious living areas and very comfortable beds. The entire property was spotlessly clean. Owners have put a lot of thought and effort to ensuring you have everything you could need and more. There was a basket of snacks plus juice, milk and water in the fridge waiting for us when we arrived. There are books and games for all ages, and all rooms had fresh cut flowers making it very homely. A really beautiful place to stay. There's a lovely Gallery next door which is well worth a visit, large selection of art and gifts at very reasonable prices.

Excellent location for day trips to all attractions in Lewis and Harris. We also easily took in a day trip via the ferry to North Uist. Donna had provided a lovely and helpful range of fridge provisions prior to arrival and responded quickly and professionally to any of our queries during our stay.
