What a gem of a place! This was our final night in SA and I am so glad we found La Villa. Everything from the beautiful building, surroundings, the art and interior decoration to the staff, Manager Michelle and the breakfast. Surrounded by their vineyard, the whole place feels a million miles from anywhere. The room (room 2) was perfect; beautiful decor, large shower and huge bath tub - nestled away in its own little private courtyard. The pool was wonderful as were the grounds/gardens. The breakfast was one of the best we've had at a hotel/b&b. The walk into the main town was just 15 minutes through the residential streets, admiring all the wonderful houses. Honestly could not fault this place (and I am picky!) and wished we had a couple more days here.

Tim is a wonderful host and his enthusiasm for people shows through in the details of the property: the cottage was perfectly clean and tidy with all the amenities that make for a perfect stay, whether overnight of for several days. He also gave us plenty of information (out of his restaurant recommendations we picked one and ended up having a memorable dinner at Eleven restaurant in Franschhoek). The cottae is in a very quiet and green setting and has a next-door nature reserve walk. It has the rustic feel of a cottage with all the modern comforts, beautiful kitchen with modern appliances, fire stove, comfortable mattresses, and plenty of pillows. Don't forget to buy one or more jars of their wonderful lemon marmalade.

Really lovely cottage set in a beautiful wine estate. It was very quiet and relaxing, but just a 5 minute drive from town. The cottage had everything we needed and was really comfortable and nicely decorated. Pool and dam were fantastic for swimming and relaxing. We had a wonderful wine tasting and there are so many great places to eat very close by. Hosts were so helpful and welcoming, we would definitely come back here and recommend to friends.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed at; not only in Franschhoek, but of all the places I have ever stayed at before. It is very spacious, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The farm and surroundings are gorgeous and peaceful, and the location to the town center is perfect. One could stay here in the winter or the summer, due to the indoor fireplace, hot tub and outdoor braai area. I love that it is also very private. Our host was extremely attentive; responding immediately whenever we asked her something. She was very friendly, helpful, and it was clear that she wanted us to enjoy our stay. We will now be staying here every time that we are in Franschhoek!
