We were looking for a quiet rural retreat in beautiful surroundings and this place delivered in spades! There is a great view over the valley below. But the star of the show was the circus of birds, and we had a front row seat. I'm not particularly a birder, but they were utterly captivating, especially the red tail kites that are so impressive. The cottage is not overly spacious but was a very comfortable accommodation for the two of us. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding villages and various National Trust properties within easy driving distance. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful. Even though the cottage is rather modest (and it doesn't pretend to be otherwise), we would return in a heartbeat.

Set in the ancient Aylesbury village of Weston Turville, this Innkeeper's Collection features free on-site parking and an on-site pub with roaring log fires. Aylesbury town centre and Go Ape! Very friendly staff. Cozy and modern room. Very tasty breakfast at very reasonable price.

Bel & The Dragon at The Red Lion is a historic grade II-listed coaching inn with stunning features dating back to 1669 and possibly even earlier in origin; much of the original building still stands. The room was large, very clean and a huge bed. Lots of nice extras in the room like coffee pods, biscuits a small glass of sloe gin each. Very quiet and breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices.

Full of character, the 17th-century Chequers Inn has an award-winning restaurant and a large garden. The elegant bedrooms have Freeview TV and antique pine furniture. Beautiful inn. Very high standard
