I really recommend Maracumbo hostel to anyone who wants to enjoy Mompiche without being in the middle of the noise :) it’s just 300 metres from the beach, immersed in the nature, a very quiet place.
Christian is super super kind and easy going, and he also gives surfing tips ;)

- the domes are very comfy
- a/c works fine in a hot night
- super nice and helpful hosts
- a bit north of all the beach bars, so no music at night
- somehow only nice people are staying here
- you can rent surfboards just 30 meters down the road at the beach
- fully equipped kitchen
I loved my month’s stay here; my room had a tree-house feel and an en-suite, with a hot shower; a real luxury! The WIFI was excellent and there was always a nice breeze; there’s an amazing covered deck with the best of vibes where everyone hangs out on hammocks; and the owner; Martin is the chilliest host ever; the place feels like being part of a family the moment you put down your bags. Oh and there’s the sweetest of dogs and the beautiful puppies to play with; I miss them terribly!
