If you are travelling to Mount Fuji, this is a MUST STAY!!! Prior to arriving, my fiancé and I were feeling a bit hesitant as we did not have a car, and were unsure how we were going to access restaurants/ the main town. BUT, this was not an issue at all. If you are also concerned about this, please don’t be!!! We were collected from Kawaguchiko Station at 5pm on the day of our arrival. The staff were so accomodating and flexible to collect us despite 5pm being outside of their shuttle collection times. We really appreciated this. Each day, the staff operate a shuttle to the main town, leaving at 10am and then collecting you again at 3.30pm or 4.30pm to return to the campsite. We used this service on our full day at Mount Fuji and it was perfect. We didn’t feel like we needed a car at all. The staff at Kawaguchiko Station are so knowledgeable and helpful to support you to find your way around the main town. There is a free shuttle service to main parts of the town which we used to spend our day at a traditional Japanese onsen. We purchased breakfast at the campsite both mornings that we were there. It was delicious and I definitely recommend this as if you don’t bring your own food, you won’t be able to access food until you use the shuttle and get to the main town. We chose not to purchase the BBQ dinner as we thought this was quite pricey. Instead, we use the Cafe at the campsite to order some wood fire pizza’s. The cafe is open from 9am to 6pm. We pre-planned and ordered our pizza’s at about 5pm. We then kept these stored until we were ready for dinner and reheated them on the barbecue. Much cheaper and still delicious. So if you also don’t have a car, there is definitely still ways to access food with a bit of pre-planning. Our campsite was warm, cosy, clean and the view of Mt Fuji is breathtaking!!!! I don’t think you can find a more incredible view than at Qoonel!!!

The host was great. Able to answer all of our questions and calls 24/7. She also supported us in finding transportation services. Very kind and supportive.

Tucked into a little side street but walking distance to the lake and all the things around it. The view was amazing and unobstructed from room D. Loved the space and the tent itself was large with a great big bed made up of 4 singles! The spa/ cold/ sauna was great and the cooking facilities in the room - bbq, microwave etc would be great if you came for a week long stay with friends. We didn’t use it but the fire pit at night when it’s a bit cooler weather would also make for a nice stay.

The tent offers air conditioning, a dining area, a terrace with garden views as well as a shared bathroom featuring a shower. The unit offers 4 beds. Everyone was so kind and helpful! The domes were so comfortable and quaint. My mother actually loved it the most even though she is not an outdoors person! We enjoyed the location and cleanliness and the food. The service was excellent! Beyond exceptional!

This air-conditioned mobile home comes with 1 living room, 1 separate bedroom and 1 bathroom with a bidet. The mobile home features a seating area. The unit has 3 beds. This is the best place to stay in Yamanakako to have the most convenience access of the Hirano beach and to be ready for the Mt.Fuji photo taking before the sunrise (weather dependent), only if you are not picky about the facilities (new but not as modern as the expensive hotel). I am totally okay with shared washroom. The elder lady (front desk) is very nice, tho she cannot speak English, check-in and instructions are clear enough. She has prepared Chinese check-in instructions separately, so don’t worry about communication issues.

Located a 10-minute drive away from Lake Kawaguchi, Kawaguchiko Country Cottage Ban boasts a great view of Mt. Fuji and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. We stayed at the cottage B. It is a very spacious place with 3 bathrooms including one large bathroom with jacuzzi bathtube. There are 4 sleeping room. One sleeping room in the second floor having a window that you can see fuji mountain, the city and lake. The kitchen is large and having enough space and facility to cook for I thing 20 persons. Large areas for barbecue. The hotel has shuttle bus to take you to nearby supermarket to buy food! Our family really enjoyed the time we stayed.
