There’s nothing like this place! It really is like camping in the sky. Comfortable tent very cosy, plenty of privacy, great bathroom facilities, incredible food, and warm vibes! The host did everything to make sure I was comfortable. I loved the location, but it does require some scenic walking along the rail track to get there - the tuk tuk can’t take you all the way. I would recommend walking from the Ella train station along the tracks so you don’t need a tuk tuk at all - it’s only 15 min walk - and it’s safe, many locals walk along it, you will hear any incoming train for a long time before you see it. The lovely host helped me carry my bags along the track. Easy walking distance from Ella town too. A really unique must-do experience. And it’s only a 10 min walk to the 9 arch bridge!

As soon as we arrived we felt so welcomed by the host and his whole family, they were all incredibly generous with their space and super helpful. The eco lodge is in the most magical location, on the side of the mountain away from any hustle bustle, truly connected to nature. Waking up to the sunrise was unforgettable and a highlight of our whole time in Sri Lanka. The breakfast was delicious and generous, and we ate dinner with the volunteers and other guests too. So many lovely conversations and connections. Wish we could have stayed here longer!!

A well located stay, with a 5 minute walk to the city centre yet still hidden in the mountains with a great view. Facilities are basic but perfect if you are looking for an outdoorsy weekend. There is a really lovely vibe about the place, staff, guests, and visitors friendly and welcoming. Would stay again.

Guests will have a special experience as the mobile home features a pool with a view. It was a new experience for us to live in a cabin in the woods!!! Absolutely loved it

The location, the hostess and the food! We are a family of four with a 5 yr old girl and 2 yr old boy, and traveled with a family whose children are the same age. Sudha’s home was perfect for the kids to play, there is a gate you could lock on the outdoor terrace so the kids could safely play in and outdoors. She had a beautiful white lab and cats and three kids enjoyed the animals a lot.

The photos that are on the page of the location and views do not do the place justice at all! The real life location is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been in my life. Wake up and have a coffee whilst looking at that was breath taking. It also felt as if we were staying in a real life studio ghibly house the way the building are built into the cliff is amazing.
