Also, the fact that they have two offerings waterside in essentially house, booths, are the only ones on the Kavango River that offered this amenity. We were in River side one, an outside our deck on the water, was a bloat of hippos numbering probably a couple dozen! What a joy, and treat watching this bloat frolic in the water and do their thing until 10 AM more or less, when they headed to the opposite side of the river, to graze and sunbathe, always returning an hour or so before dusk, to entertain us once again! The vibe is very relaxed at this camp, which makes a huge difference. It’s easy to mingle with other guests, make friends, enjoy Rolf’s staff, and his company, especially the fire pit after dinner each night!

White Sands Lodge has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a private beach area and terrace in Divundu. Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and right on the falls. You could hear the falls from your room. The staff were very attentive. We came late and our dinner was provided. The three course dinner was really good. As good as many a large city.

This is a "glamping" experience and we thought it was a good balance of comfort, hospitality and rustic location. Amelia was very helpful and flexible in constructing our itinerary to Chobe and Savuti. Our guide/driver Lucky was amazing, ask for him by name. Meals were tasty and varied. Another highlight is the water trough right outside the dining veranda, which attracts hippos and other animals nightly. Overall, highly recommended!
