Absolutely worth it, the full immersion experience with that luxury comfort is incomparable. We had a great night stay here, had quite a few encounters with the wildlife but felt completely safe and taken care of throughout.

Guests will have a special experience as the tent offers a pool with a view. Langa Langa was really excellent experience for us. The accommodation was top notch, comfortable beds and proper bathrooms. Oil lamps on the path give you just a touch of adventure at night. I can't say enough nice things about the staff and management on site, they were there whenever we needed them for drinks or snacks or to answer questions. The food was excellent and even my mum really enjoyed it (yeah, she's a fussy eater!). The game drives were really good, our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and would stop whenever we asked him. Lastly I have to say they made a real effort when I told them it was mum's birthday with a cake, candles and round of "Happy Birthday" which the staff learned for the occasion. I hope I can go back some day.

The fireplace is a top feature of this tent. Meals can be prepared in the well-fitted kitchen, which features a stovetop, a refrigerator, a microwave and a tea and coffee maker. Everything was just so perfect 👌. The bush experience is breathtaking.

The tent features air conditioning, a private entrance, a terrace with garden views as well as a private bathroom boasting a bath. We had an amazing three-night stay at Umkumbe bush Lodge. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. As there are only a few tents, they get to know your name and preferences and it feels like a home away from home. The accommodation is super clean, comfortable and exactly what you need for your visit. The common area had a wonderful pool and bar, where you can watch the wildlife pass by as you relax and unwind. The game drives start early in the morning, and it can be cold, but you are provided with warm fleece blankets as well as ponchos for when it rains. Both our guides (Pieter and Capps ) are very knowledgeable and good fun - they really look after us and engaged in conversation while on drives sharing their passion for the area. The coffee and drink stops were a highlight as well. We cannot rate this place highly enough and hope to return sometime in the future, l Thank you to everyone at Umkumbe for making this such a memorable experience and making us feel like more than just guests. Your personal touches did not go unnoticed

They truly provided a once in a lifetime experience for us, getting close to animals and doing their best to take on any requests. Their local perspective, knowledge and stories added a unique twist compared to other game drives we've done. Never was the outgoing friendly Energetic personality while Mateo added a sense of safety in the bush. As mentioned they both have outstanding knowledge. Never's game drives are like a fun learning experience while driving through the African bush. Mateo has many years of experience in tracking and we enjoyed his in depth knowledge. Pictures of the Bungalow did not do it justice. It was Perfect. We loved everything about the place. Staff's attention to detail. A very Intimate place catering to once's individual needs.
