This was our first traditional ryokan experience during our honeymoon, and we loved every moment of our stay. Everything is thoughtfully arranged for you, from the pick-up at Matto Station to meals, drinks, and clothing. All you need to do is relax and enjoy your time. We stayed in a traditional room with a private open-air onsen, which was my favorite part. The dinner was amazing. I understand that some dishes might not be for everyone, but I loved every single one. I’m a foodie and enjoy exploring different flavors, and this was truly a highlight for me. For breakfast, I chose the western option and my husband had the Japanese option, and both were incredibly delicious. The surroundings are beautiful and calming. After our stay in Tokyo and a hike up Mount Fuji, this was exactly what we needed. Our host was lovely, originally from Spain but having lived in Japan for a long time, she speaks fluent Japanese and English very well. The rest of the staff were professional and kind too. Since it was our honeymoon, they even gifted us a beautiful Kutani ceramic tea cup, which was incredibly thoughtful. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and will definitely come back!

Our stay here was absolutely heavenly. We had such an amazing time from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. The baths were stunning and really clean. We particularly enjoyed the rock bath. It is about a 25min taxi ride to most of the sights and attractions in Kanazawa. That didn’t bother us because really enjoyed the serene and private feel of being further from the city, but something to keep in mind. Also, I was blown away by the meals and by how fresh all of the food was. If staying here, definitely attend the breakfasts and dinners at the hotel. It almost had the feel of a Michelin star restaurant.

Beautiful, huge room with private onsen. Staff treated us like royalty. Food was top notch. Cute, walkable little mountain village with relocated Edo houses and nature trails. Amazing experience!

Beautiful rooms facing the lake, meals were elaborate and delicious so go in with an empty stomach or you wont be able to finish. Really enjoyed the onsen (there is a small outdoor section not to be missed). Staff were very attentive and helpful and found my son’s missing sweatshirt - when we drove back to look for it, the staff already had it wrapped in a bag at the reception. Will definitely come back!

Tachibana Shikitei made us feel truly at home. The staff were exceptional, and Hitomi-San was outstanding, warm, caring, and always making sure everything was perfect. She was the best of our stay and we are deeply greateful for her kindness. Our room with the private onsen and the view to the shrine was incredibly beautiful, a dream stay. The meals were unforgettable, the hotel spotless and perfectly organised in every detail. They even shipped a jacket we forgot to our next hotel free of charge, the kindest gesture and a great example of their amazing hospitality. We couldn’t ask for anything more. Absolutely perfect in every way. Arigatou gozaimasu! We will definitely return.

Quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed. The half board was incredible. The food provided for both breakfast and dinner was some of the best I've had in Japan, and the staff made us feel comfortable and totally taken care of from the moment we entered the door. The bath house was a little tired, however, it packed a punch. The water is heated via wood fire and as a result is piping hot the moment it gets in. The baths are HOT. We found the place to be very good value and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Tokigasane se nachází v dobré lokalitě ve čtvrti Katayamazu Onsen v destinaci Kaga. Phoenix Plaza se nachází 42 km daleko, Fukui International Activities Plaza 42 km a Hrad Kanazawa 43 km. It was lovely and spacious with traditional decor. The food was amazing and the hospitality of the staff was beyond expectations. Wonderful view of the lake. Onsen was fabulous! Nice small town with plenty to see especially Natadera Temple - gorgeous! Mr Fokuda made our stay special with his English explanations and exceptional service!
