We were there on 2 cold days in March but our room was warm with a heater and electric blankets. Very comfortable beds and an onsen in the room. We had a beautiful view out our window and in nice weather it would be lovely to sit outside but not on this visit. You eat downstairs in a pleasant dining room. The 2 dinners were fabulous and well prepared but we couldn't eat much of the breakfast (it was all Japanese), other guests loved it. But on the second day the cooks made us a delicious breakfast that kept us going all day. The owner is very helpful, he cares a lot about his guests, he's still working on the place and it will be really nice when it's done.

This boutique hotel was a gift. Yes it's gorgeous, perched on the side of the mountain with stunning views and luxury accom like having your own onsen but it was the staff who really made it outstanding....Maria, Tui and everyone else were incredibly responsive and helpful...not only when due to train changes, we were 2 hours late arriving (the kitchen staff held our dinner) but also when we left a phone with our JR passes in the taxi. (which we were able to recover!!!)

It was calm and relaxing to have open air bath in the middle of forest. We could see tranquil atmosphere of Amagase onsen village with wall-like mountain alongside the river. Kaiseki dinner was fantastic. We could see true Japanese hospitality here. Thank you for your service.

Yufuin-Sanso Waremokou offers large Japanese-style rooms boasting an open-air cypress hot spring bath, sweeping nature and city views and a massage chair. We stayed in the best room, the king suite, and it was amazing. The staff were so kind and tenable. Large space, stunning views and a lovely outdoor and private onsen

別府 鉄輪温泉 萬力屋別館 ManrikiyaBekkan Beppu Kannawa se nachází ve čtvrti Kannawa Onsen v destinaci Beppu a nabízí pokoje s klimatizací a s TV s plochou obrazovkou. The lady owner was just so nice. I felt welcomed right away. I also appreciated the kinds words with the breakfast. The room was also very nice, with a futon and tatami, and you also get to have a reserved time to access the Onsen. Location is also very good. Walkable distance to most of the Beppu hells and the two remaining ones can be reached by bus. Bus stations are nearby, whether you want to go the further hells, Beppu station or Fukuoka.

Right on Beppu Bay, Umino Hotel Hajime offers public hot spring baths and free WiFi. Rooms feature a traditional Japanese decor and a private bathroom with hot spring water. We had a great time here. The room was spacious with all we needed. The view of the sea was breathtaking. Onsens and sauna were wonderful. We loved it.
