Situated in a 12th century Augustin Convent, the Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes overlooks Guimarães. Rooms are equipped with modern amenities including air conditioning and cable TV. Leandro at the desk and Lara at the bar and breakfast were very accommodating, welcoming and informative. They made our 3-day stay an excellent one.

The owner Elizabeth and her family were truly loving and kind. The food was clean, fresh, and amazing. My room had a Feng Shui simplicity. It was so calm with great energy, as was the entire property. The proximity to the Penada Geres National Park and all the adventures it has to offer. Elizabeth had excellent recommendations on trails and activities. I loved the dinners and conversation at the end of the day. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away to the outdoors!

They have created in oasis in a lovely little town. The room was immaculate down to every detail. We loved being met by their dog and cat who made our visit even more fun. Great information about the town and where to eat. We were waking Camino and everything about our stay was perfect. Christina even recommended places to stay in our next leg of our Camino.
