Quiet and we felt as if we were the only guests! And the views from our room (R) we're beyond compare. I could barely believe my eyes as I swept back the curtains and stepped out onto the little balcony, a view of Porto must be unmatched. Beautiful linens on a perfectly comfortable, quality bed. Everything was great quality, down to the coffee in the coffee machine and the nicely scented hotel toiletries. I wish we could have stayed longer and I'm dying to go back a soon as possible!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming, owner-run guesthouse right on the beachfront and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the warmth and genuine hospitality of the owner, António, made me feel instantly at home. The location is simply unbeatable; stepping directly from the front door onto the boardwalk and having the sound of the waves lull me to sleep was a dream come true. My room was exactly as in the photo's advertised, immaculately clean, thoughtfully decorated and very modern, and offered a breathtaking ocean view. What sets this guesthouse apart is the personal touch: the owner's attentiveness, the local recommendations tailored to my interests, and the sheer dedication to ensuring every guest has a perfect stay. It’s a peaceful, welcoming retreat that perfectly captures the magic of a beachfront getaway. I highly recommend it and can't wait to return!

Everyone at the reception was incredibly kind, attentive, and fun.

Situated in a 12th century Augustin Convent, the Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes overlooks Guimarães. Rooms are equipped with modern amenities including air conditioning and cable TV. Leandro at the desk and Lara at the bar and breakfast were very accommodating, welcoming and informative. They made our 3-day stay an excellent one.
